Skyrim collector's edition comes with unlimited dragons, plus one

Bethesda producer Todd Howard has already confirmed an "unlimited number of dragons" in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. At QuakeCon, Howard revealed the Collectors Edition for the title, which comes with a 12" statue of the dragon Alduin perched on a dragon wall. That's one more dragon than you get with the game alone -- or infinity plus one dragons -- making the CE a mathematical impossibility.

Other, less troubling bonuses include a 200-page "coffee table" artbook, and a making-of DVD. It'll be available on the game's November 11 release date at the only slightly less than infinite price of $149.99 US/ €149.99 EU/ £129.99 UK/ $199.99 Australian. And don't forget to pre-order, because if you're splashing out this much for Skyrim stuff, you're pretty much guaranteed to want that cloth map too.

WHAT????? 100 dollars for a stupid dragon made of plastic???? and i thought the batrang ( made of plastic) of the arkham version was crap.

Before anyone says "Where's the extra content?" Its in the standard edition of the game, where it belongs. Please don't make me look stupid Bethesda.

The extra content is in the PC/Xbox360 versions, because PS3 users lost... map area apparently. (Refer to pictures in gallery)

Actually, the case and everything else is exactly the same size. I'm assuming they made a mistake, or I'd be sad. :(

I dont mind statues in my CE's, what I dont like is the $150 price tag's

I was almost enticed and then my suspicions were confirmed that it's a plastic dragon ... for $80.

If it had been polystone or similar material they might have had a buyer here, but that's not a statue, it's just a plastic action figure that doesn't move for almost $100 extra.

I personally love the statues. Granted, not everyone is going to ever have a use for it. I do enjoy displaying them on my desk at work, though.

Is that a steelbook? kinda looks like the same cheap cardboard case used for the DC Universe Online CE

I've been chomping at the bit for them to announce this, but I just can't justify $150 for a collectors edition. Dammit. I'll have to settle for my map I guess

@The Tim I'm with ya on that one...I too have been waiting on an announcement about a CE for Skyrim...but really? $150 for an art book? I work in a book factory, if i wanted ANOTHER 8x9 coaster I'd get one from work.

1st time i really want CE

I wish all these CE editions came in 2-tiers...I really only care about artbooks and just books in general, not really excited about collecting statues or batarangs. But not inside $150 bundles.

Is there not a middle ground that comes without the dragon? Not that it isn't bitchin' but I don't have $150 what with Arkham City, Deus Ex, Modern Warfare 3, Assassin's Creed, et. al. coming out this year.

IF ONLY IT CAME WITHOUT THE BLOODY STATUE!!!! I want the 200 page book and DEFINITELY the "making-of" DVD, but I really couldn't care less about the statue! Please Bethesda, make my wish come true and my wallet is yours!!!

Not blaming it on recession, was more of a joke. But work harder and make more money you say. How about our government raise minimum wage since everything else goes up in price? Everything costs more yet the income level stays the same. People w/ Ur attitude are the reason big companies get away w/ pretty much robbing people. I love bethesda, love the elder scrolls and will def pick up the standard edition of Skyrim. All I'm saying is what you get in the ce is not worth $150 and I prefer to get what I pay for

Whoa, I can't believe how wrong you can be. Including morally.

I don't think infinity discounts the possibility of the statue, that's why it's infinity.

Just as a joke/nod the the legacy of horse armor , as the eventual poster child of useless DLC, they should have thrown in collectors edition only code for skyrim horse armor (like Reach the flaming helmet).

Just thought, if I got the Epic Edition of GoW3. I would be spending less and getting more content compared to the Skyrim Collectors. Huh.
