Rockstar wanted the game they payed so much for on store shelves so much they pushed devs too hard. Shame as I love Rockstar Games when was their last game that most people didnt think "I'll at least pick that up and part with some cash" (not to say they haven't had their share of flops in at least critical eyes).

But I was hoping this would be put aside after the dust had settled after L.A. Noire's Launch. Hope they do well (Bondi) and hope Rockstar are able to use the MoCap tech in future games (doubt they will or even need to for GTAV when ever that maybe)

Want to bet that we hear of layoffs from Dr. D sometime after this happens? Most notably with those ex-Bondi employees.

@Jason B

I'm guessing they're already emailing resumes frantically, regardless of whether or not he's going to cut them loose. Who'd want to work for a shitheel like that twice in one lifetime?

So just curious...R* owns all rights to L.A Noire though right? I'm still hoping to see another L.A Noire style game in the future. I loved the game. Bondi or not, it would still be amazing. R* know what they are doing and they DO listen to fans.

I mean, Max Payne 3 went dark for like a year or two after it was mentioned and everyone was like wtf where's the hair? Where's the voice? Where's the jacket?

Our next look was to let us know HEY this game will have regular Max flashbacks and HEY we resigned the original VA.

Anyway, I guess that got off track but I loved the game in the end and hope Team Bondi somehow end up doing well for themselves.

I guess it goes to show you that people like Brendan McNamara will always have jobs while taking all of the credit and none of the blame.

There's a difference between "taskmaster", and (what sounds to be) "abusive".

If I were a former Team Bondi employee now working over at Dr. D., I'd be offended one of my colleagues is sympathetic to the man who brought my work and passion to a resounding fall with those job conditions.

Again, this is under speculation, and perhaps I'm being overly-dramatic, but still...

So if this is true, does Rockstar keep the rights to L.A. Noire? Not that it needs a sequel, but I would like to re-visit the type of style it provides in the future.

@Prboi

I'd say yes they do own the rights to LA Noire. Rockstar has commented about future DLC not anyone from Team Bondi. Rockstar stepped in for Sony when they dropped LA Noire because it went way over budget and put up the money to allow the game to go forward.

The real issue is the facial recognition technology. IMO Team Bondi probably owns that technology, not Rockstar. One of the major things that made LA Noire great is the facial recognition technology. Even if Rockstar gets someone else to develop a sequel I really don't think I'd want to play a game like LA Noire without that technology.

On the topic of a sequel, I'd love to play a LA Noire-eque RPG from the Al Capone days in Chicago, or maybe New York mobsterish-style. Something like that, more specific to a time and crimes, not just one city's generic police department.

The mo-cap tech was cool. It made for the most real-looking facial features and motions I have ever seen in a game.

LA Noire had its faults, like the vehicle controls. I was somewhat confused as to whether it was a third-person shooter or a RPG or some type of GTA knockoff. A more specific genre would make a sequel so much better. The introduction of that style of game was refreshing to see, though. Knowing the game industry isn't out of ideas like Hollywood is makes me pause with a smile.

I finished LA Noire just last week, and still have some to play if I want to in the free-roam open world of 1947 Los Angeles.

On topic, if McNamara is hired by KMM to be a slavedriver like he was at Bondi, then McNamara's management style will ruin yet another firm, more-than-likely.

I only hope that if Team Bondi is salvaged that Mr. McNamara gets tossed out as per the conditions of any contracts. Even if he needs to be bought out, just get rid of him and his incompetent managerial goon squad.

When you're pissing Rockstar off with your incompetence and arrogance, then you know you're some real piece of work! :/
