I get the uneasy feeling that EA fanboys are going to "stick-it" to Valve by buying PS3 Portal 2 to get the free Steam copy, driving up sales but not profit...

@Gibbeynator
...huh?

Where have you EVER seen an EA fanboy who is a Valve hater?

@Gibbeynator For that matter, where have you ever seen an EA fanboy? I mean, there are people who love the games EA shits out, sure, but I've NEVER seen someone be a "fanboy" of EA, in that they're personally invested in the company, in my life.

Well, it's not a fun situation to be in the middle of lately with the big, cross company war going on.

lol @ the notion of an EA fanboy

I sincerely think that anyone who loathes Valve but loves EA has some oddball priorities

@darkinchworm doesn't Bioware/Dice fanboys count? BF3 and ME3 are both EA Games basically just modified upgrades to past Bioware/Dice games no different from what Valve,Ea,Activision,Capcom and Nintendo do

the battle over hitting the Origins over Steam icon rages on...
i just dont see what the big deal is? that's like getting mad my android phone doesnt work with itunes

Wait, so EA has rights to digital distribution of portal 2 too?

Physical. EA is the distributor of Portal 2 console version and PC physical.
Valve self-publishes their game on Steam.

Saves Valve a lot of money. It takes a lot of resources in order to publish your games, physically.

@Inkopa No, they sell console titles directly through their Origin store as well as digital PC games. Click "40 percent off" in the article text above and it takes you to the console game section of their sale.

I need to get off the internet, live in a cave, and beat the games I already have.

My PC backlog is already around 125 games. Every week its, beat one game, buy FIVE more.

So many games I want and so cheap, its so hard to resist.

I feel your pain. I have 80 games on Steam and I have no idea how haha. I beat maybe 15 to 20 of them and keep buying more.

After EA's claim about Steam "restricting" their ability to directly support players, I'm done with their services like Origin.

Surprise! It's not available in my region. Again. Thanks EA!

Also, I've paid $7.50 for Borderlands on Steam. Bulletstorm? Maybe...

I missed the Machinarium sale price a few days back which was saddening. Narrowly missed it.

@Shadowbender Why dont you just spend 5$ on the humble indie bundle and get not only that game but 11 others?

Agreed. That and there isn't a great selection for digital download beyond Mirrors Edge.

There's no way I'd buy anything on Origin, but it's funny that the sale is still not available in my region. Nice way of getting more customers.
