And sadly, most Resistance fans have no one to blame for that one but themselves. Everyone kept pressuring Insomniac to bring back campaign co op and now we are left without the fantastic 8-player co op.

i downloaded the beta this morning and the huge 1.4 gig patch only to find out they disabled match making in their beta. good job guys.

They only disabled it because it wasn't working - if you want a match, use their facebook page, or myresistance.net and find likeminded people for a private match.
Simples.
They are fixing the matchmaking as we speak.

They need to turn back on matchmaking, this beta was/is the worst first you download a 1.5 gig beta then a 1.4 gig patch and then no matchmaking??

Thats why its a beta, so by full release they wont have to go through this matchmaking problem. It looks good tho. I'm having trouble deciding between this and dead island. I have other games I'm buying and I can only get one of these. Still so undecided.

R2 with its 2-weapon swap and full regenerating health just ruined the game for me. I am beyond sick of so many games having that system. Every battle turns into a chest-high-walled whack a mole session. Piss on it.

I love Resistance ....but I am getting mad Crysis 2 (multiplayer) vibes from this Dev video. Hologram decoy, super speed ability, enemy outline spotting with "assist bonus" if team mate kills target, Cloaking, nano-vision...erm thermo-vision (sorry) to see through the disguise (not the dark). Using the same and similar kill award... *sigh* come one IG, Resistance for me always stood out on its own (which is not easy for a FPS these days)...which is what fans of the series loved.
