@swooded Do they have a reward zone account number on them? Because otherwise, not only could you use other people's receipts, but they can be used by multiple people a few times.

@WiredKnight Have two or three witnesses with you holding a copy of your birth certificate, social security, and library card. Make sure your witnesses are recording and have your grandma in the shot yelling out your name. That or a receipt.

You don't get a $100 gift card. You get 5,000 bonus Gamer Reward Zone points added to your RZ account after you buy the 5th game. It's just like getting any other amount of points after a purchase, or bonus points added for a promotion.

@Schlecht You have to become a Best Buy Gamers Club Member. Totally free. Just get a rewardzone card, and join the Club online. They keep track of your gaming purchases that way.

Yes, but the store doesn't give it to you. You get it through your Reward Zone account.

What exactly happened?

Best Buy claimed a few weeks before Portal 2's release that they would knock off 15 dollars(I'm pretty sure) off the regular 60. Word got out on the 'Stiq, I exclaimed happily, told my friends, we all cried in joy. And then I look on the website, abd strangely it says they'd only chop 5 dollars. I'm confused, Best Buy is now going back and betraying their original deal. I call my local store, the employee knew nothing of the deal, and I don't even know the true price at this point because there was no clear release plan that Best Buy. And come launch day? 5 bucks off, no regard for their previous claims.

This was not Joystiq's fault--this was Best Buy's for stating a deal that would never follow through, abd confusing the junk out of us. I ended up by Portal 2 on launch day still, of course, but at Toys R Us.
