Loved the Madden demo. As someone with next to no knowledge of football, I think they've done a great job of adding features that allow new players to get into the game the past couple of years.

Driver demo was fun but I wasn't a fan of the handling. When I was trying to turn, the cars felt like they had no weight to them. I was crashing into stuff that I shouldn't have been hitting, simply because my car wasn't responsive enough.

I'm interested in the Driver multiplayer demo next week though. The previews I read from E3 sounded like they're really doing some interesting stuff with the multiplayer.

@Theneverendingsoda - A quality sports game should be fun & playable even for those who don't know a lot about the sport itself. If you have to have a deep knowledge of the sport to enjoy yourself with the game, it's a failure from my perspective (and I say that both about sports I do know about & ones I despise).

Yes, the game should also be fun, realistic (if it's a sim) & deep for the sport's hardcore fans but if they target that audience exclusively (as I feel Madden has up until last year), they're failing at a big part of what the game should be doing (creating new fans for the sport).

The Driver demo requires a constant internet connection to play.

I don't know about Driver I was playing the demo and the shift thing is really cool but thats it and also the cars handle terribly(which is in every driver game) unless you get a speed car but the madden demo was nice i like the presentation and will be picking it up.

i find it funny that in this lawsuit happy culture we live in that they have to put disclaimer's on a fair amount of the articles .

Damn McElroy, I love you, but everything written for this article is just weird and borderline sucks.

Driver demo was fun, but the handling is a big faux pas.

And I tried the Madden 12 demo, about 5 years ago.

Wait. They're going to let people play this game for free?! My god, think of all that lost revenue! I mean they could charge, say... $10 just to allow people early access to a small portion of their game. How on earth are they able to do this and still stay in business? Come on guys, support the devs!!

/death to online pass

Why is online pass a big deal? Do that many people really rent games? Cause if u buy them nothing changes. I dont get it.

Right, you just have a mother who is only wiling to pay for a subscription.

News flash, people have jobs, I have a job, he probably has a job too. I understand your mother won't buy you games, but doesn't mean you have to assume everyone else is relying on their parents to buy them games.

So, by your logic, EVERY PERSON who buys games has a "mommy" that buys them? Flawless thinking.

The online pass is simply a bad idea because it takes rights away from the end consumer. If you BUY a product that product should be yours to do with as you please with the exception of illegal activities. Last I checked selling a game wasn't illegal and thus the penalty incurred by the function of the pass is irritating and feels like an intrusion. You want people to buy the game new? make better games that people wont want to either sell or wait 6 months to buy.

Your joke meter must be off. He probably has a job as do I but the fact he doesn't believe people rent or buy used games is false. Last time my mother bought me a game you were probably drinking milk from yours.

I somehow doubt that. You didn't make a joke anyway, you made a snide comment.

I wasnt trying to offend anyone, and im not rich and my mom doesn't buy me games. I'm married and have a job. I also do have gamefly but I only rent sp games or games that I'm not sure is going to be good. The five or so games a year I know are going to be great I just buy, so the online pass thing has not effected me. I was just curious what the big deal was to people

It's a big deal. I rent the games I don't want to buy so a lot of the times I don't even bother with the online stuff. Point in case, Dead Space 2. Never even touched the online part.
