Mega Man 1, 2, 3, 9, and 10 on sale on PSN

In addition to the Mega Man 9 and 10 DLC packs listed as discounted in this week's PSN update, you can also get ... Mega Man 9 and 10. And Mega Mans 1-3. Though they didn't show up on Sony's official list of updates, the entire Mega Man catalog on PS3 is on sale this week, half off.

The PSOne Imports versions of Mega Man 1, 2, and 3 (based on the Japanese PlayStation re-releases) are now available for $2.99 each. Mega Man 9 and 10 sell for $4.99 each this week, with DLC bundles an extra $2.99. Given Capcom's recent attitude toward Mega Man, we'd love to see what happened if these discounts led to a massive sales boost.

what are the differences to the PSone MM games compared to the original NES games?

These were only released in Japan and are the same as the NES versios just in Japanese

Do you know if there is trophy support for 1,2, and 3?

Was it difficult to decide to go with "Mega Mans" rather than "Mega Men?"

@Assmar I believe the proper way to write that in this situation with the title "Mega Man" being a proper noun would have just been to make it "Mega Man 1-3" with no plural form at all. However, I'm no English teacher so I can't be sure. Somebody ask LeVar Burton.

Capcom does love to put their games on sale through the PSN. And I love to buy them when they do.

I was thinking the exact same thing, you can't get rid of him simply by selling it for cheaper.

I love Capcom, but in the case of Mega Man, give him to a company that wants to do something with him...Nintendo could do amazing things with the mega man franchise!

Well it would do one terrible thing with him for sure, it would confine him to just nintendo consoles. It worked back then, but today it's a loss to gamers confining a loved franchise to Nintendo hardware.

If my PS3 was up and running I'd buy Mega Man 9 and 10 with their DLC bundles, even though I have them on Wii.

you can only purchase PSP titles from the PSP PSN store.

@Vuvuzelas Confusion! Without a PS3, you're SOL on Mega Man 9 and 10, but the other games are PSOne classics, which work on a PSP, which means you can buy them from Media Go.

The way things are run at Capcorn, I think they refer to Megaman as 'that game' as not to anger the big wigs.

I don't know what Inafune did to piss them off, but I love the guy for doing it.

That Hori controller is flapping fantastic. I was in the same boat for years, despising the wretched 360 d-pad. After getting that EX2 for Marvel VS Capcom 3, I'm quite happy. Finally I can play some arcade games with the d-pad...I refused to with the default.

I recommend it.

Excited to get portable versions of MM2 and 3. DLing those for sure.
