Witcher 2 hotfix fixes Steam Achievements, 3D Vision bugs
18
What good is your heroic success in keeping the world of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings from slipping into ruin if none of your Steam buddies are going to hear about it? A bug in the well-received RPG kept some Steam Achievements from registering on players' accounts -- but those dark and lonely days have passed. CD Projekt Red recently launched an update for the title which remedies these incidences of accidental humility.
Other problems fixed by the update include graphical snafus in 3D Vision mode, a bug which allowed antivirus software to treat game .exe files as harmful, and an error which screwed with blood textures on certain graphical settings. For instance, when the graphical quality is turned up to "savory," blood begins to look like delicious raspberry preserves.

Mold it back together and try again, This game is a masterpiece and needs to be played.
or just upgrade your computer. It is not really that expensive as most non-experience gaming blogs or non-PC gamers make it out to be.
You def. need a PC in this day and age, why not spend a bit tad more and make it very gaming-capable.

@xiLeShadow unfortunately, I am on a laptop. If I weren't a broke college student, I would most definitely build a rig.

@Deo Domuique I'm using an m11x, which can handle most games decently. There's no need to be an asshole. How am I trolling by saying my computer can't handle this game?

It's definitely one of the best games out this year, particularly because of the "grey" nature of the pivotal decisions you have at certain points in the game. I've played through twice now, and both times I encountered major decisions where there wasn't any obvious right or wrong choice, and each time the long-term repercussions were almost totally unpredictable. Makes for a very interesting and "mature" RPG, more in respect to the complexity of the writing than the sex scenes and violence.

amazing game, I would love to be able to afford the best graphics card to get the most out of this game, at least my PC works well enough to run it on the lowest settings so i can play it, but would i love to see how it looks running on a high end system.

Have they fixed that 9gb file that must be redownloaded every time an update is available for the game via steam?

If I have the disc version, is there a way to connect it to Steam? Like if I type in the code from my manual to activate it on Steam? Or does it not work that way...
