Deus Ex: Human Revolution dev diary describes the sound of cyberspace
27
Eidos Montreal devs reveal how they put the punk in the steam with a new diary explaining the intricacies of Deus Ex: Human Revolution's audio. Human Revolution balances the cyber symphonies of Deus Ex with a more mechanical Renaissance vibe -- think Vivaldi meets Thomas Savery.

lol, Final Fantasy XXVII.
That in-game joke may be the best thing about the Square Enix-Edios acquisition yet!

I really hope this game does well. I'm worried that it will be a jack of all trades, master of few.
But dammit it looks fun to walk around in that world.

Well PC Gamer gave it a 94, so take from that what you want to...
On one hand, they're pretty respectable in regards to reviews... On the other hand (according to everybody on the internet, not me), Dragons Age 2...

Always remember that;
The first-out Reviews are always the ones spoiled the most by the publishers $$$.
I'm not saying its going to be a bad game, I hope its good because I already bought it but...yea, just keep that mind.

Well, Arkham Asylum also had an embargo and early reviews, and it was also from Eidos. Human Revolution is already out in the wild, and guess what the verdict is? It's amazing.

This game will no doubt win Soundtrack of the Year. It's also a potential for me for Game of the Year. Can NOT wait.

Doing all stealth in my first playthrough , with no kills, no alerts (aside from what's required, which seems like some boss battles from what I've read). Who's with me?

Partially, this is standard for me with this game type.
The only thing that changes with my run vs. yours...if they are flagged enemy, they die.
...that said...The Sorrow (MGS3) had a field day with me. Tee hee. Everyone was stumbling around with bleeding necks and crotches mainly...beautiful sight. ^_^

If there was one game that I could physically romance, like taking it out to dinner, bringing it back home, pouring it a glass of champagne, and then getting down and dirty, it'd be Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

One thing I've always wanted to learn about was sound design, something about it just helps to make immersion in games so much more influential.
Oh, and one of those soldiers totally had sliding feet... Guess we've gone back a few years with regards to the animations.

So what Adam's voice actor is saying is that he spoke with more blandness so that you can fill your OWN emotion into it? wat

So excited for this game, really can't wait to get my Augmented Edition in two weeks.
In my first playthrough I think I'll follow Adam's voice actor's idea and only knock people out and do stealth throughout, I'll will shoot sometimes though because I mean come on I have to hear those wonderful gun sounds. :D
And by the way this game got a 10/10 in the latest issue of OXM UK if that means anything.

I got the new PC Gamer last night and it has their review for Deus Ex in it. They gave it a 94% and said it's the best game they've played in 4 years

My friend was playing the leaked Alpha release and it looked amazing. It had that old school FPS RPG PC game feel to it that I haven't felt in a long time. It took everything I had to not actually try it...But I don't want to spoil the mood since it comes out 2 days before my birthday, haha.

The moment I saw this game a couple years back I been pining for it ever since. I feel like a addict clamoring for every little bit of info on it. XD

I like how they took the concept of excessive belts and zippers... and merged it into one zipper-belt accessory pattern in the dress.
Nice trollin'.
