his speech writer is probably someone who just scraped by in college and got the job because he is related to someone that knows this guy. this guy probably thinks it's gold so now he's saying it everywhere he goes.

I'm sorry you may have misread the article. Here's part of it again:

"This could be dismissed as a charming flub, if only it was the first time Cain had used Pokemon lyrics in a political speech.Cain quotes the line on what appears to be his official website (attributing it to the 2000 Olympics closing song, which it's not), at his official campaign announcement in May, and at the Republican Leadership Conference in June."

you see, he's in politics, and he's a joke. and this article helps prove that.

Is eat it getting downvoted for grammar reasons, people approve of cronyism, or people don't believe cronyism is a problem in politics?

@AutobotIronhide It's a weird American usage of anymore, meaning "now" instead of "any longer". I've noticed it a lot since I moved here and it still confuses me.

Actually, nepotism implies a familial relationship as the justification for getting a job.

I've lived in america my whole life. I'm also a teenager and spend a lot of time on the internet. I've seen a bunch of slang. I have never seen anymore used like that. Ever. Anymore.

you'll notice a lot of dumb people in America saying dumb shit. it's just how it is. go to Texas if you want to see lots of fat asses who like to drive like they're fat and scoot around in motor shopping carts because they're too obese to walk. check out California if you want to see lots of completely pretentious, yet "artistic", asshats that enjoy the smell of their own farts. venture down South if you want to get molested in the forest by random woodsmen that will refer to you as "Piggy" while they ram you in the ass and put red marks on your buttocks. head up to Seattle if you want to mingle with a bunch of quasi-Socialists who have great drugs.

hell, a perfect example that America is now almost completely r3tarded can be found in our modern music. just listen to it for Chrissakes! the zombie apocalypse is obviously extremely nigh.

I was planning on voting for Herman Cain anyway, he seems like he has the right business experience to run the country. I'm afraid to tell people that though, considering my state's governor is Republican and he's been gathering controversy all over the country ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Walker )

Oh, and nice use of ZH.

@AutobotIronhide He quoted a lyric from a Pokemon song and said that a poet had once said it, let that sink in a bit.

Do you really want to vote for someone that does not know where his stuff is from or better yet understand what it means?

Of course, we can all fart more consistent political truth than most of those people can speak, so that's not really raising the bar. I see your point, though.

@mistahnuff I'm a progressive, but yeah, I could vote for him if I was drunk. He's honest, and he has a coherent philosophy instead of an incoherent dogma (even if that philosophy runs counter to things like, oh, the Civil Rights Act).

i thought that was what people said about Liberals. statistically speaking, Liberals do tend to come from a more ignorant, uneducated background. i don't swing either way but hey, if you're going to talk shit at least get your facts sorted out.
