Sorry, did you want game news? We're too busy playing Symphonic Tower Defense
22
If the posts seem disconnected, rushed or crappier in general today, don't blame us -- it's all because of the STD. Matt Ackerman and Jon Sandness' flash game, Symphonic Tower Defense (What did you think we were talking about?) is so wonderfully addictive we can't stop putting our fermatas in formation today.
Symphonic Tower Defense is the number one game on Newgrounds right now, and even though we already told you what we'd be playing this weekend, we lied. Thanks to Ackerman and His Sandliness, we'll be playing a DDR-Plants vs. Zombies-inspired flash game instead of writing your articles. Deal with it.

@The Pork
BTW, completely unrelated to this post, does anyone know how the hell I add a picture to my avatar? I've tried uploading one about a hundred times in my profile, and it says to wait about five minutes for the change to take place, but alas, the picture never actually stays. I've trying signing out and signing back in, but nothing seems to work. Free bacon to whoever can help.

Wow! I was going to say "A flash game?" It's been awhile since I've played one, but I'm very surprised. Nice music, combined with a nice twist to the tower defense gameplay and it's actually excellent.

Pretty neat. Either I'm playing it weird or the difficulty fluctuates from level to level. I lost one level and had to retry, then I didn't even get close to losing a single heart on the next level.

And in that comment, there wasn't two my's in a row. Curse you, Joystiq, for not having an edit button.

Ah, Newgrounds... putting out better games then Facebook for free since before mySpace even existed...
I love this site. I should visit it more often. Where else would I have heard I'd lost all my base?

Meh, it was fun for a bit...beat all levels on normal and 1/2 on hard, then got bored. Once you know how to set up the board, none of the notes ever make it to the center.

Flash games are the games that Facebook game developers should be looking at.
They're free, simple and actually fun.
The only problem with Flash games is that they have little replay value after the first playthrough but eh, who cares when there's several thousand of the things to choose from?

I'd guess the Facebook game developers would care, since, you know... they're trying to keep you playing their games instead of sending you out to find someone else's.
But I do agree that Flash Games (Although a lot of Facebook games are flash...) tend to be more fun in any amount of time.
