No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise discounted before it's even out

Amazon has already discounted Konami's PS3 release of No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise to $29.99, suplexing $10 off the retail price. For some reason, the retailer chose to forgo its usual credit offers, discounting the game directly. Heroes' Paradise hasn't even been released yet -- that happens tomorrow.

As even more incentive to buy the game today, Amazon is also throwing in some exclusive pre-order DLC items, in the form of the "Cross Saver" beam katana and the "Moto Magazine 2" motorcycle. It might be nice to have a different motorcycle to look at during the open-world driving segments.

Actually, I have the same problem as him...I bought it and never played it b/c I didn't have the time (I still don't, lol).

But moreover I'm just too lazy to hook up the wii (the flat panel is mounted too close to the wall) plus the motion bar is missing since my last move.

I also have this on the Wii and never played it (along with about 2 dozen others I've never played) because I can't stand the Wii, haven't touched it since I beat Twilight Princess about 3 years ago. I'll probably pick it up for PS3.

Kind of sad that I won't be getting the DLC, I can't pre-order it right now. Hopefully it will be available for download later on.

Makes sense. As trippy and cool as Suda's games are, they don't get marketed (have you seen any marketing for Heroes' Paradise? I haven't) and they don't sell. I think No More Heroes did alright on Wii, but given his track record, this makes total sense to me. Amazon, once again proving that they get how to sell a product.

They should have increased the price, the only reason the original version didnt sell was because it was on the Wii and not because its a weird niche game.

This will be a REAL test for the Ps3 , I bet this is going to sell millions.

They should port over zak and wiki too. I could see that sell at least 10 million on the ps3.

The PS3 & 360 don't need a litmus test for 3rd party games because by and large they all sell very well unlike on Wii. Truth is that's because Sony & MS support 3rd party titles with large advertising campaigns and high profile trailers each week for like a month before release.

Even if the Nintendo fans won't admit it I'm glad Nintendo themselves sees it and is at least trying to rectify 3rd party relationships with WiiU.

Anyways, as someone who holds NMH as his far and away favorite game of the gen, it absolutely kills me that the 360 version didn't make it over here since I still don't have a PS3.

I think this is just a price match to Best Buys sale on the game.
Well see if this price sticks or if it does indeed become the standard price.

$70?! The most it would ever be would be 60 bucks. Again, that's at most.

In America the most you pay for a regular edition would be 60 in Canada it is either 60 or 70. I remember Resident Evil 5 was like 70. Arkham City is also available for Pre-Order for 70 dollars. The Canadian dollar has been stronger for quite a long time. (Well except now I think its like 1.01 = 1 American)

Math failure. If it costs more in Canada that means the Canadian dollar is weaker than American. It pretty much always has been weaker until now where it is almost even. The American dollar has weakened due to inflation/economy. So invert your response and you would be correct.

Comprehension fail. The Canadian and American dollar are more or less at par right now. The problem is that retailers continue to add ten dollars to most retail game. If I were to, say, buy LA Noire right now, I would be paying 70.00 CAD, which is hardly a fair price.

It's annoying, but I just buy everything online and let Paypal handle the conversions, because it seems like they can actually do math unlike Walmart.

I'm surprised no one has brought this up yet, but it's because you guys have much higher taxes. You guys also pay on average a dollar more per gallon of gas. Health care isn't free.

But this is 70.00 before taxes, making it more that 80 overall. It's a needless hike, especially considering there are no tariffs or anything keeping the games in the states.

You're right we have higher taxes, but this is a different case.

They're Price matching Best Buy who dropped their price last night to compete, because they dont have any pre-order goodies to help generate purchases.

did you play it with the controller or with the Move & Navigation controller. this game was made for motion controls, believe it or not- and it really makes a HUGE difference in play quality.

I would have bought it if it came out for 360. Your loss Konami.

Luckily, my dad randomly gave me a PS3, so I'll get it sooner or later, but no Move. I don't buy into move or kinect. to me it's just stupid

This's the sort of price that "Shadows of the Damned" should've sold it, plus more robust advertising.

I played the demo and liked what i played. but right now . i'm Strapped for cash and i have to save my money. with that said. i will own it sometime before Christmas or maybe Just after it for boxing week sales cause .. face it .. It's been live for 24 hours, I'm surprised. People jumped on it and drained their supply.

NOT surprised I mean. Again this was in response to Bestbuy's drop which they did because they didn't have preorder bonuses. Amazon exhausted their supply and ended the deal now BB is the only place left at that price.

Deal is dead but BestBuy still has it for $29.99.
