Sadly still no announcements on one of the best Move games to date: Sorcery.

I've heard from a friend who went to school with someone who got hired by that team that the game is not doing that good. Not like it's close to being cancled, just the actual work behind the game is doing so well.

Are there any recent sales numbers for Move? Is it "moving" at retail? I was tempted when it first came out, but, like most people with a tv at this point, I have a Wii I rarely use already so couldn't justify the cost when it just seemed like an updated version...

@Lucky48
Can you compare it to WiiSports, or Resort? I'd like to take it for a spin with some more hardcore games, I enjoy a novel control experience, but if you're seriously into the game I suspect it will just get tiresome (like the wii controls... metroid prime 3 was great fun, but I would have enjoyed it just as much if not more with a standard controller...).
The thing (conceptually since it's not really used yet) I like best about the Kinect is that it can augment traditional controls (head tracking in Forza 4 as a prime example). When it's the only control it's neat, but it ends up being a lot like the wii, lots of fun flailing.

@ima 747 Sports champions is great. I can't imagine a more authentic table tennis game, precision is amazing, you have complete control over the paddle. Whenever I play against a friend who is new to it I always get a kick out of tapping the ball "just" over the net and seeing them realize that they actually have to move forward to hit it, they don't seem to realize at first that its not just side to side movement.

The only one I don't care for is sand volleyball, it feels like a Wii Sports game in that its mostly about waggling in a certain direction as opposed to having one to one control over something.

@ima 747

I bought Move just to play Killzone 3 and wasn't disappointed. I believe half the fun came from the visceral feeling of pointing the "gun" and pulling off headshots with ease. The improved accuracy I achieved over a traditional controller was worth it. I wish Battlefield 3 used Move...maybe as a patch by chance.

Who thinks they can actually get in shape using these games...

Losing weight is easy. I had to do it all the time when I wrestled in high school, even dropping over 7 pounds in one day. But for safe/normal weight loss, cut all the junk from your food, eat just a little bit every 3 hours, and do some exercise so that you burn more calories each day than you eat. Buying a video game isn't going to help you >.>

@killerjuice Actually, if the game allows you to do "some exercise," as you put it, then why wouldn't it? It's not a complete workout solution but as a complementary piece (and a way to add some variety), it certainly doesn't hurt.

@killerjuice Also, sweating out water isn't losing weight. Do you consider taking a crap a weight-loss solution too?

@killerjuice I lost weight using the Wii fit. I like it because you could track your weight everyday, it's interactive and a lot of fun. Of course you need to diet too. I have been doing the eat every few hours thing with a little bit of exercise and lost 10 pounds in a week.

@verymetal Don't worry, I'm sure they're making a cover-based third person shooter for you as well.

All I want is an exercise (or dance) game for Move that can give me specific feedback about what I'm doing wrong, and how to correct my form. A bonus would be any game that uses a leg strap for the Move(s) like UFC Trainer and leverages the SixAxis for tracking handheld movements.

Then again, if EA released a dance game that used the Sports Active sensors (tracking their blue lights with the PS Eye) and a Move controller for extra precision, that would be an insta-buy for me.

I've played around with several of these fitness games, but there's far too much resting in every one I've tried whether it's the exercises themselves or the constant fumbling through menus, I never really get my heart rate up. The Wii fit is nice to keep track of your weight, though. Puts you in the right mindset.

Oh, it's not Nintendo. Right.
