What, you don't like it when other people get to play a good game?

@Lucky48 If it's being ported from the PC why would they care? It worked well enough with Torchlight.

I don't know if Blizzard's past console attempts would warrant a "good game" title...

Uh, I don't know what you're talking about (I know you're talking about Diablo on PSOne), but The Death and Return of Superman on SNES was all kinds of bad ass.

If that happens I want Xinput support on the PC... it's so much more convenient when playing while sitting on the couch.

BTW Diablo 3 is why I built my gaming PC so Blizzard can suck it :-P

It only makes sense though... once Blizzard gets wind of the profits to be had on the console platform they'll go the way of Ubisoft in short order

"Diablo 3 experience"

Could be interpreted as some sort of spin off of Diablo 3.

Oh, just announce it already. We already know that consoles pretty much get all the games anyways (stealing mai exclusives!) because of their large target audience. Come on PC pirates, stop pirating so we can get more games to the PC like the consoles do!

@nerdydesi1 It's not piracy that's killing PC sales. It's ease of use. The average Joe just doesnt want to go through the trouble of upgrading his drivers every month and all the other crap that PC gamers have to deal with when he can just pop in a disk and go.

@nerdydesi1 I would not blame piracy for studios bringing PC games to consoles. The main reason is that its popular and they want to expand to other markets. PC piracy has been going on for years even when PC gaming was hugely popular.

@Aguiluz I would never buy a game with that tech, specifically because I just don't have the USB space to do something like that. (mini monitor, wacom tablet, printer, mouse, keyboard, external harddrive, microphone, webcam)
Not to mention if other games follow suit, your going to have to keep switching dongles to play games. You lose the dongle, you lose your game.
And when it does get cracked, then people would have even more incentive to pirate it than ever before since it's such an oppressive DRM tactic. It may work for now, but it would backfire as soon as it gets cracked.

@Enigma7ic; For me, not using a PC to game on has nothing to with updating drivers etc. It has to do with the COST of updating and owning hardware good enough to run the games.

It's much cheaper for me to just buy a new console every 8 years (or however long the console cycle is these days).

I remember when Microsoft was talking about having PC games on windows vista (and new OS i would assume) would only require you to insert the disk, and would install the remainder of the game automatically while you're playing. Automatic updates for games and drivers.... if only they wouldve kept their word.

I don't know about you but my windows 7 does all my driver updates automatically. I haven't manually updated a driver or popped in an install disk for anything since I installed it. Now it doesn't auto update games, but that's what steam and mmo-type launchers are for.

tldr: I haven't manually updated anything, or used an install disk for drivers in the past year, and that includes my ATI card.

If they became popular as an anti-piracy method then of course there would be rampant hacking of them. I'm also not finding said game on google quickly (admittedly only 20secs of searching) but my guess is it's not a very popular game else it would likely of been cracked.

I doubt any game produced so far has been unhackable its just a question of time and effort crackers etc are willing to put in, less popular games will get less attention.

@Slomoshun Explain how a game that has been in development for many years and probably even before the PS3 was released going to ruin the experience.

You really need this spelled out don't you? PC games that go out on console that have NEVER BEEN on console tend to get dull, boring, dumbed down and childish.

Example? Crysis 2. It was NOTHING like Crysis 1 and the reason? Consoles.

And yea..Duke Nukem Forever was in development for how many years? 12? And it sucked. Where were you really going with this?

Think before you comment.

That's funny how you were going to spend 2k on a new PC when this game will be capable of running on a 5 year old machine, if not older.

I have no proof of this of course, but scalability is a hallmark of blizzard games, so I don't see it being an issue at all.

I say good. They want to release their shitastic additions to a console version, I hope they get smacked down by Sony or Microsoft. They won't be able to get the hackjob always-on DRM on the consoles, and the definitely wont get their ridiculous Real-$ Auction house on there either.

Though, even if they do release D3 on Consoles, I'll more than likely just grab Torchlight instead anyways either on it or the PC.

1. It won't need nearly as secure of an environment because I doubt the RMT system will carry over.

2. Again, the environment won't need to be as secure because it will be on Xbox Live which will lower the possibility for hacks by itself. I doubt Battle.net 2.0 will even come into play.

3. Piracy is less of an issue, and was only part of the reason for always on "DRM" on Diablo 3.

Microsoft is definitely going to have to bend a few of its XBL rules unless they want a handicapped version on their console. Hopefully Microsoft and Blizzard can work this out to come out with a product both can be proud of.
