I think it's good that the Uncharted franchise is winning some awards after surprisingly not winning any for either of its titles at E3.

Modern-Military (sub), First-Person-Shooters (main).

@SpecBlank One is a fun, arcadey, run-n-gun, blow stuff up shooter. The other is a tactical team-based shooter. It's like comparing Mass Effect to Gears of War. Sure they're both third-person space shooters, but the core ideas are so far apart that it doesn't really matter.

Those are gameplay styles. I can do teamwork with my clan on mw, like I can have a crappy team in battfield 3 and do badly.

They compete with each other because of what they are, and do.

Both have a campaign, with co-op and focus on the multiplayer.
They are shooters, military, with a modern conflict.

It's not the same as Mass effect, which is an rpg. It's focus is on telling a story, minor build your stats, and make dialogue choices.

Gears is straight up shooting, with co-op and multiplayer.

P.S Activision don't nickle and dime you by locking people out of the game with online passes nor do they offer overpowered unfair advantages to people that pay extra. Just maps that you don't even need and the game still works normal without it heck most people that play COD don't even have the map packs me included.

HAHA! They DON'T nickel and dime??! Let me tell you, they INVENTED the 15 dollar map pack, yes 15 dollars for 3-4 maps, NO new weapons, NO new game modes, NO new features. I'd love to see what you are referring for the pay2win model in BFBC 2. IN FACT battlefield vietnam was the same price and they added something like 10+ new weapons, 4-5 maps, new skins, and im sure a few things im missing. And they never locked anyone out of multiplayer or restricted any multiplayer progress.

@Koya You do realize what that whole MW3 Elite stuff is, right? You'll be able to BUY special features that'll give "you" an advantage over other players. So have fun when spoiled 12yo kids get their mommies to buy them the "latest and greatest" guns and perks to own you with. XP

Lol Steam doesnt = PC. Its a service, if more services want to come out and offer huge sales and discounts and free games (already gotten 2 free games from Origin) then i am more than happy. Do NOT punish Dice for the troubles Steam and EA are having.

First, its been proven Origin isnt a memory hog, they are equal in RAM usage and if anything sometimes Steam uses more.
Second, article on this site with the Steam leader "Newell" saying things that do not coincide with a "EA pulls all games off steam cause they want to be exclusively on Origin!" opinion.
Third, more ways to get games means more competition, even if the option currently available is great (steam) that doesn't mean adding others to the mix wont make them have to compete harder.

PC gaming will survive without your little boycotts. Anyways EA is so huge and greedy that no matter the size of the boycott they wouldnt acknowledged that they made a mistake and put games onto steam cause of small sales.
Steam crybabies are just as bad as console crybabies that you look down on so hard. Get over it...not all games will be on your client, cry me a river you need to create another account and download a new program. Most likely you have a i7 2Tb 8Gb of DDR3 PC anyways, ur PC can handle Origin and you'd need to use that EA account to sign into BF3 anyways even if it was on steam.

@PersianImm0rtal Honestly I'm kinda pissed about the whole lack of Steam support as well, but this is exactly why I don't buy a whole lot of stuff on Steam (and why I never got into iTunes), you end up locking yourself into an ecosystem.

I'll boycott BF3 when Valve stop being jerks and release Half-Life's, Left4Deads, Portals, etc. on Impulse, D2D, and Origin.

You'd think that but there is probably different criteria. I can say with certainty however that the PC and Console versions of BF3 are so different that just cause it won on PC wouldnt mean it should win on Console. Not only the typical PC advantages like graphics, but the maps are smaller and theres only 32 players on consoles. And before anyone gets angry at Dice for that, its cause of that console you love so much. It has so little RAM that it can only show you so many things at once. And to not have the game look like crap and remove destruction 2.0, they have to shrink map sizes and amount of player size. Disadvantage of having like 512 bytes of RAM. Sad considering RAM is so cheap you can buy 8Gbs for $40 for a PC, yet with current Gen consoles your stuck with a pittance.

No, MW3 hasn't been that talked about because they haven't even shown any multiplayer gameplay only 1 specs ops trailer and 1 campagn mission. Once more gameplay is shown I'm sure MW3 will be the topic of alot of talk.

Understandable, but we just have to accept it and move on. Madden gets bought up like crazy here in the US and im sure when Euro's look at our best sport game list and seen Madden NFL they say "wtf...American football is rubbish, this list loses all credibility" lol.

FIFA is a really well done sports game, it's not only because outside the US soccer/football is very popular. There are plenty of European games that are hated by Europeans.
