Rock Band adds a dash of Red Hot Chili Peppers on August 30

Your Rock Band catalog lacking in spice? Come Tuesday, August 30, a total of eight new Red Hot Chili Peppers songs will be available for download, spanning the group's more recent albums -- including the band's upcoming I'm With You. If you're looking for older Chili Peppers tunes, then you can just download some of the band's classic offerings, already available.

Included in the "I'm With the Chili Peppers" pack ($13.49):

"By the Way"
"Californication" (Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for an additional $0.99)
"Look Around"
"Monarchy of Roses"
"Otherside" (Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for an additional $0.99)
"Parallel Universe"
"Scar Tissue"
"The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie"

Each individual track will cost $1.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3, or $2 on Wii. All tracks will be available for download on August 30.

but they were on disc on RB 1 and had a DLC album released. Along with a DLC pack aswell.

I should of clarified, I've been waiting for these exact song announcements since rock band 1 when I bought their greatest hits album.

There will also be an announcement today for an Incubus 3-Pack and maybe some more music next week 8/23.

I thought the Chili Peppers had ditched RB since I can no longer play Dani California. WTF? I WANT MY DANI CALIFORNIA BACK!!!

@Troy Powers I hear you. They've rereleased some on-the-disc songs (as RB3 versions of course), so it's not impossible, but that was one of the few RHCP songs I wanted to play.

Same with Soundgarden and Spoonman/Black Hole Sun.

Will buy this, these are fun songs to play on the drums.

Man, that pic makes me miss the old lineup already. I'll have to get these so I can pretend that Frusciante is still around.

Not a bad selection, 3 from their new album and 4 from Californication. Finish out Californication, and like others say, bring back Dani California and Give It Away Now.

Especially Give It Away Now, that is the only song I have ever played where a whole band of 4 were able to beat it on expert. 1,000,000 point song right there!
