I've been trying it out. It's pretty fun for a Facebook Gaming App.
The actions finish a lot quicker than the normal Sims games.

I'll admit that I've always liked The Sims, but I'm not so sure about this...I can only imagine the awkward notifications this would make.

With The SIms casual gamer target audience I am surprised it took EA this long to make this. They will hit the jack pot with this. Prepare for the overload of Ikea and bed bath & beyond run rampant.

Just tried it out.

It's actually pretty nice. It's addictive and quest-laden like Farmville, but it's NOT FARMVILLE! :D

It feels more like The Sims Medieval (constant mundane quests), MySims (same, but with the addition of collecting various resources as you go), and The Sims 1 all combined. I collected some weird item and a box popped up with others in it (noting that I had 0), apparently part of a recipe to make stat boosting things and whatnot. It was cool.

@FuzzyPierce Although considering The Sims has an ongoing, mostly-flawless in-world canon, their usage of Bella Goth as the lead tutorial lady is a bit jarring. It places this game somewhere between Sims 3 and Sims 1, and that's a little awkward if you're into the fact that there's canon going on through all 3 games.

I wish they would have incorporated these features into The Sims 3. So, you and a friend can each control a sim in a neighborhood. Have separate houses, move in and share a house. Just the same sort of thing.

Like how I wish you could have done things like that in SimCity 4 with neighboring areas.

Seems cool, though. I plan to check it out.

I'm gonna be the villain that'll destroy the Sims Social and Facebook!

I do not ever play Facebook games, but I quite like the Sims Social, I like it a bit too much even! It is not as bad as I thought it would be.
