I love the reactions to the gun being bulled out, very cool. When you think about it it's pretty ridiculous when a guy runs at you with a knife in a game when you clearly have a massive gun.

I agree, looks like they may have created an AI that actually wants to live and is willing to give up to let that happen...then again that could have all been scripted.
Have to wait and see

@jimbo8e6 I think it's way too early to be giving it that much credit. Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, and 4 did that as well when you snuck up on people. That could be a scripted event for all we know.

AI is one of my pet peeves as the description really isn't anything like that an AI, even dumb AI, is.

Yeah, MGS had that, they even dropped weapons and ammo while being held up with a gun. Hm, when you think about the time period MGS2 came out, it was pretty bloody advanced :O There's still games that have nothing on MGS2 and that was a PS2 game :/

I don't know how pissed off at Ubi I should be. On the one hand, it's been effing years since Ubi has *publicly* admitted to anything regarding both I Am Alive and Beyond Good and Evil 2. However, if all that dev time leads to amazing games, I suppose it's worth it. To use a cliche, it's not the dying I'm worried about, it's the waiting.

Although that's not technically context-appropriate, but you know what I'm sayin'.

I want those games almost as badly as I want HL3. Too bad HL3 only exists in my dreams.

Really disappointed that episode 3 is just going to be forgotten as long as valve feels like it. I mean, i'll obviously buy it whenever it comes out, and I'm sure it will be good... but waiting really is the hardest part =/

Looks ambitious, with some interesting gameplay mechanics it seems; albeit dated, graphically atleast, it has to be said.

I get a serious infamous vibe from the setting and some of the climbing, looks really cool and I hope it sees the light of day next year.

was that some dude about rape a chick behind the curtains? guessing from the bit and a few others i think there will be moral choice parts where you can either ignore inhumane things done to people for a better chance of survival since im guessing this is a survival game, or you can save the chick about to be raped( or the dude getting beaten by another group of survivors) for a morality boost thing and a possible ammo/item reward necessary to deal with future challenges but they would be scarce in which person you help is able to give you stuff.

@aconrad777 This may be one of the first game to include rape scenes within it. Ubisoft is testing new water here, and all those US politicians and concerned mothers will not back down without a fight.

I'm not able to hear the audio, so maybe this is stated in the video...

But is this still taking place in Chicago? I didn't see any notable landmarks or anything.

Hmm. If it's linear like it's looking I won't like it as much. This type of game needs an open world. If they don't add mutants or something I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but I have no idea how else to be clear: This game is not coming out. I have several friends that were working on the project in Shanghai. It is no longer in production. Ubisoft won't admit to it being cancelled at the moment because they want to appease stockholders.

Woah it looked like his backpack was filling up more in a couple scenes at the beginning, that could be a nice little mechanic.

Other than that though... Nothing there showed how this game would live up to all of our expectations. Of course it still could... It's just unlikely based on that trailer alone.

If this is cancelled, that's just poo. I've been wanting to play a game like Disaster: Day of Crisis, but with 360/PS3 graphics.

Glad I'm not the only one who saw some Condemned influence in the footage. All I can say is they have got my interest now. Let's hope more news about this game comes out soon.

Remins me of Alone in the Dark and the old version of Splinter Cell: Conviction (original subtitle was totally "Hobo beard killin' time")

Exactly... I couldn't shake the Alone in the Dark feeling from the trailer, and that game was utter crap, absolutely horrible.

Looks great! Appears to be a refreshingly original concept - though it looks heavy into Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell's game mechanics. Wasn't this supposed to be multiplatform, though?

Clearly it's a marketing ploy by Ubi to drive up interest. They hide the game for years on end just so every game journalist in the country can make the same "It's still alive" joke. Frankly I'm surprised they havent just sent boxes to gaming sites with bloodied snippets of code inside to drive home the gag.

Also: am I really going to be the first person to mention the, Mirror's edge style "parkour vision" with the red pipes?
