Status - Eligibility: You are a Nintendo 3DS Ambassador!

Woo, Yes! I love the 3DS. Such a beautiful little handheld console. =)

BTW: To people saying the 3DS has no games, they are coming very soon. The 3DS is having a better year then the DS, in comparison.

The DS had a worse launch with rarely anything to play until a year after launch. Look where the DS is now.

@xiLeShadow This and the fact that pretty much any other console/handheld went through the same.

Now what games are coming for me the person with a nintendo handheld who isn't a big fan of nintendo itself. I'm not a big fan or mario and what not (I dont hate them though).

Only things I know of that are coming out that aren't nintendo are Devil Trigger (Next Week) and MGS3,RE:R, and Tekken sometime next year.

I like the 3DS but im a little bummed that all the games I'm looking forward seem to have no reall release date set for them.

You bought a Nintendo console and you aren't a huge Nintendo fan? That is weird.

Anyways, third-party publishers are waiting for Nintendo to release their mega-hits this holiday season, in order to sell more units. The lack of release dates is because they are waiting for the 3DS to get a bigger install base.

Most of the game are properly done in development, they are just waiting to maximize unit sales.

My main reason was honestly for Resident Evil: mercenaries, I picked up Zelda but only played a little bit of it so far. Personally I feel purchasing a system shouldn't entirely matter on the 1st party when you do so. But for the overall experience it brings. Though considering how the wii went with it's third party support I 'm just hoping that doesn't happen again.

The original DS had tons of games for everyone even if you weren't a Nintendo fan, which I personally really liked about it.

True. Don't worry though. Most of the DSs games are unique to that console, so most publishers are waiting for the 3DS to sell a bit more before they release the games.

It shouldn't be long before the 3rd parties start releasing the games, that aren't ports.

I think it's more accurate to say we base our purchases on the best quality games available, but if all those games are 1st party games they are still quality games so it shouldn't matter.

@KGameLover1 1)Buy a box of Corn Flakes
2) Count each flake (each little piece of corn dust counts as a flake)
3) Stick the first and last flakes in your 3DS game card slot
4) Stick a game in the slot
5) Remove the game and resulting crumbs, and count the crumbs
6) Divide the original number of flakes by the number of crumbs

That's your serial number.

Then they are some smart mofos! Seriously...

The lineup of games for the "ambassador" offer is crap. What few games I have seen are so common you could probably buy them for a nickel at this point, and that's IF you haven't beaten the hell out of the game already.

Well, a lot of them I haven't played (including all of the GBA games) because I stopped playing video games during that time (due to being in late high school/college). So, I'm looking forward to getting to finally play those games.

I didn't say the games were bad, I just wish that Nintendo would offer a little more in terms of games. The few they listed were all games I have played before, and honestly not too sure if I'd be interested in playing them again.

I would of simply preferred it if they just gave us $80 credit for the E-shop, and let us spend it as we please.

The straight money in the wallet would be best, but if you are saying they should offer lesser games because you have played them...that is kinda insane.

So, this ambassador status is tied to your serial number, not your account? What if my 3DS breaks and I need to buy another one? I lose all the games? Maybe I should hide my "Ambassador" 3DS away somewhere and ebay it in a few years to some collectors...

You can transfer your games. Through a DSi or 3DS. I don't know how the process works exactly, haven't had the need yet, but you can do it in the settings menu, if I recall correctly. If it's busted then you'll have to go through Nintendo and a bunch of crap, I'm sure.

@vinnycthatwhoibe If your 3DS breaks, and you send it in for repair/replacement through nintendo, everything you own on it is transferred to the new system. Alternately, if a prettier 3ds comes out that you buy for whatever reason, the transfer tool is going to be updated to allow you to transfer your games/etc off of your old (working) 3DS to your new 3DS

Apparently Nintendo of Europe are making a page for people like myself who were away from internet access for over a month, and didn't get around to registering. If have accessed online before 11th August and have Friend Code, it will accept us to the Ambassador thing, thankfully. Looking forward to free portable Mario and Metroid.

I really hope that they get the eShop up to speed after this. It's just silly as it is now. They need to fast track their virtual console titles too. Let's see some more consoles up (SNES would be great...).

Still, 20 free games will be great, especially for the overpriced Nintendo ones. Can't wait for the GBA ones. Didn't bother with that system at all (even on DS)

If you're getting "undetermined" make sure you are typing the entire s/n, including the "CW" and the last number with the box around it.

Congrats! I kept my DSiXL, no way I'm trading that baby in so I'm glad you didn't as well!

I just recently bought Chrono Trigger for DS. Its one of those games that I never actually played previously. I have some down time between Battlefield 3 and ToR (whenever that releases)

Got mine just in time for the program and even got the difference I spent back from Best Buy this week. Pretty happy.

I couldn't really care less about some of these NES games (Ice Climber...? eh), but I'm stoked for the GBA titles. They claim we'll get them all before the end of the year, I hope they start appearing soon.
