I can't imagine the demographic for Deus Ex has much cross section with Zumba's demographic. One game would interest people who like the idea of improving the human body by any means, even if it means getting implants, and the other is Deus Ex.

If what Reggie said was true, then having Xenoblade in the top 10 should slightly help our chances of seeing the game over here in the US. Here's hoping that it stays that way for a least a couple more weeks.

Considering this is a chart of all formats, it's amazing seeing a niche RPG make the charts.

UK is only part of Europe. Hopefully it does well in other countries as well!

it's great that xenoblade made the charts, but it also goes to show Reggie's decesion wasn't exactly a bad one. Critical acclaim and being one of, no wait, THE BEST JRPG of this generation still only gets you in 7th place amongst games that may have been on the charts for months.

Of course, flipside of the coin is that with a proper advertising budget (which I assume wasn't given to the European release) you could have made a million-seller out of this thing in the States. Not like that hasn't nearly happened before, w/ Symphonia making robust sales thanks to Nintendo's assistance in advertising it for the GC. Who knows, maybe it can still happen -- I'm sure the tens of thousands that imported will be more than happy to talk about 'that new RPG' whose commercial aired last night, and how awesome it is.
