Mortal Wednesday will go down in history.

I wonder if they'll be slightly flubbed emulations as last time I checked all home versions of the MK arcade games had something wrong with them. But then again, the last time I checked was about 5 years ago.

Dude, the arcade versions are 20X better. The gameplay is anyway. Wish I could say the same about the music. MKII Genesis soundtrack is my favorite soundtrack ever!

Not crazy at all. The Genesis ports weren't very close to the arcade originals, even compared to the SNES versions (except in the case of MK1, which was censored to death on the SNES).

$10 is very reasonable for that package. I'm shocked they didn't charge $15 or $20, honestly.

Can we make August 30th "Mortal Tuesday." You know, because that's when PSN releases its games?

@ilduce620 - I know, although I am kind of thinking that they still just might "re-release" these or some of these titles again down the road as HD Remastered... Kind of like what was first said was going to be done... Maybe WB jumped the gun to get these out since MK9 is doing really really good, so they could just be trying to milk whatever they can, kind of like Capcom...

I really hope they don't do that, because if that's their intentions then I would rather wait for those and pay $20-$30 then buy this then those again... Especially because I already have MK2 on PSN/PS3 and UMK3 on 360... Not to forget I also have MK1 that came with MK Deception I think it was on and extra disc on 1st Xbox, and I have MK1, MK2, & MK3 on PSP and PS2 from the Midway Arcade Collection...

For another $10 for 3 games that are hopefully ARCADE PERFECT is hard to pass on, I just still wish they kept with the rumored HD Remastered of them... There's always room for some more MK lol

Good Herod, this is a complete waste of time and money. Hear me out:

I'll repeat what I said when this rumour was first announced: the nu-Mortal Kombat does everything so damn well, it makes paying for these games pretty much moot in every way. I have very fond memories of playing MK1 in the arcades, and playing MK2 on SNES, but even $10 is too much when you could pay $60 and have one of the best games to be released in 2011.

Just my take on things.

Agreed. I spent many quarters on these back in the day, but the new one is taking all my time now (and is $40 on Amazon US).

Lol, wow. I have MK I, II, and 3 on Sega. An MKII arcade machine. MK on 360. MK4 on PS1 and N64. MK Trilogy on PS1. MK Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon on both PS2 and Xbox. And I still got plenty of money. WTF are you doing with your life that you can't spare $10 for 3 great klassics? Bam, you got served.

When did I say I can't afford this collection?

But if I had to answer your question, I'd say I'm too busy paying rent, buying food, buying gas, and having a social life, to make buying multiple copies of the same game a high priority. Unlike you, I can't rely on my mom and dad for that stuff.

Please, please, please have customizable buttons. The UMK3 that was on XBLA had emulation problems and I had to use the default Xbox 360 controller. :(

Also, there were some minor glitches in their programming such as when playing multiplayer (network play on Xbox Live), there would only be one level all the time (unless a code was entered when starting a battle). There was also glitches regarding not being able to save the Kombat Kode players unlocked such as, masked Sub-Zero, Ermac and Mileena.

So, hopefully this gets the treatment it deserves and everyone will enjoy!

@BobbyRobby Yeah agree. I didn't mind playing on the same stage (Scorpion's Lair) all the time. I hope with this it'll remedy that. And I also hope the leaderbaords and True Skill are up to snuff

Wow, this really takes me back. I vaguely remember playing UMK3 in the arcade, but I remember putting tons of time in MK2 and UMK3 on the Sega Saturn.

These are ports of the arcade version right? Anybody know if you can set the difficulty level like you could in the Saturn versions? I don’t remember that being an option in the arcade and always getting beat early on. Hell, on the easiest difficulty I couldn’t even beat Motoro half of the time.

And does it have a save feature or do you have to unlock the UMK3 characters every time?

Are these true Arcade ports or emulations? The UMK3 on XBLA emulation was badly filled with glitches and bugs (having to renter characters codes for Ermac, Mileena and Classic Sub Zero every time, only being allowed to fight on one stage online, and non-customization on buttons forcing you to use default Xbox 360 controller).

Hopefully, NRS handled this and gave it the love it deserves.

Will this have network play and will it be good? MK2's network play on the PS3 was noticably laggy and I have heard bad things about the net play even in the new MK.

Man, I'll never forget being like 12 or 13 and getting dropped off at the mall every morning with my friend Matt and hanging out in the arcade literally all day playing and watching UMK 3. Then we would come home at night and draw our own MK comics and fatalities. Them the days

Sudden memory flash: I'm standing in line at the arcade for Mortal Kombat Ii with my quarters in hand. I get up to the machine and get kompletely wasted by the other player. I go back to the end of the line and repeat. Good times.

Good deal but going back and playing these is very much a rose-tinted glasses affair for me. I go through and do a few matches and 20 minutes later walk away disillusioned and 10 bucks poorer.

Still....these were a blast back in the day and are part of my fondest memories of playing quarter munchers.
