In b4 Gamestop hacks the Joystiq site and secretly removes this post.

@Co

What you mean GameStop? I know, I'm surprised too. You'd think people would be fed up by them by now.

I really like onlive I do.
But in not a fan of owning games through them.
Besides when they're on sale, I hope that if anything they can do more bundles of codes for the onlive version packaged with the retail game.

Thats a brillant idea that I'd love to see happen more.

@Jawmuncher
I use it as a rental/demo service. That way I don't really have any expectation of ownership for something I'm just demo-ing/renting.

@Jawmuncher

I take advantage of their 5 dollar Friday deals and (like Puppies) use it as a demo service.

But I agree that it sucks not having a physical copy of your game.

Seeing how much OnLive has expanded and improved in just over a year I think it's really going to be a significant force in gaming in time. And I think that's great. Even if this particular service isn't "THE future of gaming" any time somebody pushes the envelope the whole industry benefits.

@zerosuitsammich Well said. OnLive may not be for everyone but clearly there is a market for that kind of service and it's great to see them doing well. Now, if we only could get rid of those douche bags at GameStop.

I haven't bought a game from Gamestop in well over 5years and I never will again. I don't understand why people still do. They have terrible customer service, their prices are always higher, and there are plenty of other places to buy games.

Amazon's release date delivery and lower prices is the way to go. Hell they screwed up on the release date delivery for Heavy Rain and gave me $20 for the inconvenience. Gamestop would have said oh well.

I really can see onlive really taking off on tablets, laptops in the not too distant future.

They are working on that stuff you know. Some pretty amazing stuff that will be coming from them.

Ah, the beloved cross-game voice chat makes its appearance. This is especially useful for OnLive given how bandwidth-heavy it is, making me iffy about using a different program for voice chat that could take away from said bandwidth.

Why would I want more Facebook clutter? I hope people don't abuse that, though I'm sure they will.

But offers no way to keep video game retailers from opening up copies of games and taking away a good chance for others to try the service.

As a parent, that sounds great. As my children get better with their controllers and grow more interest in games, I can monitor them from my office!

So if I get a Paramour achievement in Mass Effect, an HD video of me sexing whomever is automatically uploaded to my Facebook?

I don't know if I'm thrilled or terrified...
