KILL MEGAMAN
START REVIVING AN OLD SERIES ONLY 5 PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT

Watch. Firebrand will make a cameo in DmC. People will get a kick out of it. Suddenly, Whamo. New Gargoyle Quest title.

Also, servbots will make a cameo just to piss off the fans. Just like they do in SxT.

Watch it, GQ was easily one of the best Gameboy games.

As much as I was disappointed in MML3 getting cancelled and his non apperance in UMvC3 this stuff is really getting old. Stop complaining about this and get over it.

Its people like you constantly spreading hate that can keep Capcom from making future MM titles. What's the point in a company producing a game for a bunch of people who just moan and complain about them?

@Destati Gargoyle's Quest was awesome. So was the sequel on the NES. So was the pseduo-sequel on the SNES.

This MML3 stuff has long been bordering on offensively stupid.

"START REVIVING AN OLD SERIES ONLY 5 PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT" isn't a valid complaint when the series being revived is good. I get your displeasure at the cancellation of MML3, because I share it, but it's misdirected here.

Gargoyles Quest is GREAT and really does deserve more attention than it gets.

Dude, the games the AMBASSADORS(Founder's Club?) get for free won't be anything available on the shop. Also, they're NES & GBA games only so there's no way you'll have to worry about it with VC games.

@Destati I would happily let Mega Man die with what dignity he has left in exchange for a next-gen Gargoyle's Quest. It's not like dozens of Mega Man games haven't been made over the last twenty-plus years.

Now, I gotta go get some Nintendo money...

Don't worry, they said Dr. Wily's Revenge (Gameboy) will get a release on September 15th in Europe (in America it could come sooner, later or on the same day), and the ESRB rated Mega Man X2 for the Wii's Virtual Console.

Mega Man's not totally dead yet, and maybe Capcom's gauging fan-interest in Mega Man games through the VC in order to see if there's an audience for Legends 3. Just be patient, let others get games they may be interested in, and buy whatever Mega Man games they release, when they release them.

Just be thankful games are coming out at all for the VC.

Has anyone here played Gargoyle's Quest? I checked out some videos and it seems neat!

I have 4 bucks left on my 3DS so I'll get it if it's good...

I might check out GQ, but I have OoT 3D to play while I wait for Metroid 2 and Mario Land 2. I know most people don't like Metroid 2, but that was the first Metroid game I ever played (I was probably 8) and I liked it enough to get to Super Metroid, which sold me on the franchise.

Awesome!! Gargoyle's Quest is one of my favorite series of all time. I hope we get 2 in the future (and Demon's Crest sometime thereafter.)

I will be far more impressed with Nintendo when their Online eShop doesn't tie to a system unless the game in question was specifically made for that system. But instead ties games like this (see emulators) to my account.

At which point I am able to play said emulated game on any system that supports emulation.

@Scuffles I have no idea why they aren't doing that. I expect they'd charge for each variation, but why limit these just to 3DS? Why limit SNES games to just Wii? I don't get the purpose of it.

@Scuffles I don't see the issue. They tie the handheld games to the handheld. They've finally introduced an option to transfer download games to the next version of the system you get, as well. An account would be ideal, but at least they're not all tied to the one hardware unit forever like with the DSi. But mainly, you have to remember that it's Nintendo. They don't exactly want you to be playing Game Boy games on your PSP or phone. The VC is a selling point of the 3DS for them, after all. It also helps that they have also developed a solid emulator that plays the games flawlessly, with a few modern features thrown in.

Originally I thought that was the point of linking your Club Nintendo account to your system, only to be disappointed. I wish they'd set up a system like Microsoft's or Sony's, and I have confidence that someday they will.

For the sake of clarification I will clarify, I wasn't talking about "any system that supported emulation" meaning literally any system. I meant it more so along the lines of "Any Nintendo system that supports emulation" and was tied to my account.

That would be a huge selling point and it would also alleviate the fear that one would be in a position to encounter "Buy gargoyles quest for the 3DS" followed by "Buy gargoyles quest for the 4DS because the 3DS version won't transfer hahahahahahahaha"

There are also no reasons I can see that the SNES titles on the Wii VC wouldn't play just fine on the 3DS.

If that's the same Gargoyle Quest that I played when I was a kid, that game was hard :( I only played it once or twice at my uncle's house, but I got my butt kicked all over the place.

It may be a small collection at the moment but there are definitely gems in there(Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Donkey Kong '94, Super Mario Land) and you can always check out DSiWare.

SNES can't come soon enough to the 3DS. That and games made for the 3DS to download. I'm getting rather tired of these tiny releases. Why not just dump a load on us already? We can take it.
