Nolan North unboxes the Uncharted 3 Collector's Edition

The Uncharted 3 Collector's Edition is quite nice to look at. Naughty Dog gives you the opportunity to look very closely at it, while also looking closely at ubiquitous voice actor Nolan North. In the above video, North offers a detailed rundown of everything in the box, while showing off the unexpectedly impressive packaging.

It ... it has drawers. Velvet-lined drawers.

It's just one step away from the ultimate collector's edition, which will come with a huge bookshelf to help you store these enormous game boxes you keep buying.

Yeah, Ive always thought that, It would be much better to have someone who sounds exactly like him, and who knows him inside out, and who pretty much is him, than someone who kinda looks like him!

And i doubt it would take much to make him look like him anyway!

Itll make me sad if the actor in the film is nothing like drake in the game, sound and personality wise!

The problem is he's not an A-list actor and he's a bit long in the tooth which are probably the reasons why Nathan Fillion wouldn't get the part either. Proucers are going to want a young hot actor to bring in as many people as possible.

Seriously though...I'd buy the collector's edition all if the set's casing was made of rosewood or something nice instead of cardboard.

Yeaah, Im not getting it, its just not enough in there to make me want it, But if it was actually made from wood and carved out really nicley, I would buy it in a second! It could be used as a real piece of furniture then! And it would look ace.

This is by far the worst "Collector's Edition" Sony has put out. The Infamous and Killzone 3 CE you got a lot of stuff but this you don't really get anything for $100.
Even Nolan North while presenting the items doesn't seem very enthusiastic and tries to make the items sound interesting.
It was still a great ad. North nailed it.
I wish the Resistance 3 CE was coming out in the US because that is a great package.

I wouldnt say its the worst, I think its quite good. But it could be alot better.

Now the GT5 signature edition... THAT was a true collectors edition! Such massive quality! I love my wallet!

@Mika101 This is by far not one of the worst CE's. Its actually prob one of the best CE's. The ones that i can think of right now that are far WORSE than this CE is COD, the resistnace 2 CE was a waste of money, the GTA 4 CE was complete garbage. There are def others that i just cant think of right now but this one is pretty good.

Maybe it's just me but I thought that was not funny at all. Looking forward to the game, though not a big enough fan to get the collectors edition. Wish they had a mid level with the steel book, love those. Like kf said, if the case wasn't cardboard I'd prob get it.

It makes you happy to watch, and because of that, the jokes, no matter how silly, still make you laugh a bit.

UC3 was is my most anticipated game this year. Day 1 buy

I'm legitimately surprised at NN's comedy chops. He's actually pretty durn funny in this vid, especially the end with the 'alternate voice' for the action figure.

This game cannot come soon enough.

hilarious saw this on playstation blog before I came here I have had the collectors edition on pre order for months I want the steelbook bad there isn't enough of steelbooks with CE which is a shame

He looks a little old to be nathan drake...then again they cast late 20 sometthings to early 30 somethings to play high school or college aged people all the time. It's called makeup.

I kinda like the metallic box. hopefully there's a way to get one without buying the full collectors edition. The only way I'd buy that is if nathan drake himself popped out of the box and dragged me along on a magical, dangerous mission around the world.

Nolan North makes me happy in the drawers. Get it? Eh? Eesh...tough crowd.

And if you order now ill upgrade your collector's edition to the nolan north edition now you may be asking whats so different about this version well first of all i voice the box opening sound, the sound when you take out your disc my voice, you see that action figure my voice.

I am seriously debating getting this. I try to only get one massive CE a year and I bought the Witcher 2 CE this year (which was totally worth it. I use the dice in gaming, the art book is actually damn good, and the Geralt Bust sits on my shelf... protecting my many games and pet fish).

SOOOOO TEMPTING. That and the Skyrim one.
