Speaking of classic Elevator Action gameplay, the trailer reveals that Deluxe "fully contains the arcade version." There's guaranteed to be at least one good game in the download, then. Elevator Action Deluxe (and the original) will be out on PSN August 30 in North America, and August 31 worldwide.

Can't wait for this one, love the original. I think there was also some revamp on the Saturn or something in Japan too? Never got to play that.

It only fully contains the original EA, why not EA Returns, as well? Worried that it might make the new game pale in comparison?
I just wish they would release this for the PC, so I could have it on my arcade cabinet!

I feel that Shadow Complex sort of gave me a fix for Elevator Action and Rolling Thunder next gen.

Wow... that was just a really impressive reveal for a game that I barely recall being fun back in the day. What's really sad is that there's like 10000 other games i'd love to see remade.. then again, there's been a lot of terrible reboots too. I just don't know what to think.
I'm starting to worry that videogames are ending up like holly-wood. Mostly copy-catting and horrible sequels that nobody asked for.

not happy with the direction of this classic. remaking a classic game doesn't mean turning it into a kiddie cartoon. the reason graphics were cartoony back then was because of the hardware. the game didn't have this kiddie humor. they should've done something like Shadow Complex.

@onlysublime Nah. The game did have cartoony humor back then; the jumping sounds were cartoony, squashing enemies with the elevator was funny, and even dying triggered a cartoony chime. Dunno what game you were playing, but turning this into a ZERIOUZ Shadow Complex-like game would be a complete mistake IMO. The sole idea makes me remember horrible things "GONE ZERIOUZ" like Bomberman Act Zero.

It actually didn't remind me much of Cowboy Bebop as it did remind me of Lupin the 3rd. BTW, was there a pink-haired chick there?
Game looks fun... specially considering there's gonna be multiplayer, apparently.

Damn I loved the NES and GBC versions of this game, wish it was coming to 360 too.
