Soooooooooooooooo. What exactly is this game? I still haven't quite figured it out, is it a generic FPS? Is it more like Fallout with RPG elements? Far Cry 2 styled with a sandbox world, vehicles to get from place to place & quests you can choose from? What's it trying to be?

@Nova17899 idTech5 has almost nothing in common with the Cry engine. Not to mention you should show some damned respect to the company that INVENTED FPS games.

If Fallout looked as good as Rage I'd still be playing it. That's one thing this game definitely has going for it is a real grungy, dirty, beaten-down look. I like it but I fear it's going to be no different than any other iD shooter. I'm still interested though and want to play it.

Looks like Fallout with emphasis on combat and FPS-like elemnts, and lighter RPG elements. I guess it's not a bad thing in itself but personally I'm tired of post-apocalyptic wasteland settings almost as much as WW2 settings, so I'm still not sure if this is a buy or not for me.
