Hard Reset launching on September 13

If you'd like to shoot many robots, but in a game that's not actually called that, we've got good news. Your simultaneous dislike of blasé titles and society's robotic oppressors will find an outlet on September 13, when Hard Reset launches for $30. Pre-ordering it on Steam (as of today) will net you a ten percent discount on the price.

The PC-exclusive first-person shooter has gone from announcement to impending release in a matter of months. Hard Reset Launch Date Confirmed

August 29 (Warsaw); The old school, sci-fi first person PC exclusive shooter that came out of nowhere to tease and captivate gamers worldwide now has a release date. Hard Reset, the first game from Poland's Flying Wild Hog will be available to gamers on Steam on September 13 for the amazing price of $29.99 (or £22.99 or €27.99).
But why wait until September to buy it when you can get it just a little bit cheaper if you pre-order now. Hard Reset is available for pre-order on Steam today, August 29, at 10 AM Pacific Daylight Time, and if you do order the game during the pre-order period, you get an additional 10 per cent off the purchase price.

The only question left is whether your machine is tough enough to take down futuristic enemies without collapsing into a pile of wires and electronic gizmos. The finalized system specifications for Hard Reset are:

@Faenix I for one am looking most forward to Resistance 3. Gears is going to be fun, I'll definitely enjoy 4 player campaign, but my heart lies with Resistance in this case.

There are countless of other games being released exclusive on PC in Sept.

The PC Library is HUGE! and the the exclusive list is HUGE! as well.

There haven't been released any interesting titles in the last months, which feels like decades., except for DE:HR.

I would like this but I don't think my computer can run it.

Why do I have a feeling this will come to consoles eventually, like so many PC exclusives? The PC needs its own exclusives as well, if the consoles get to have them too. : (

@nerdydesi1 It won't be coming to consoles. It's not on-rails, there's no handholding, there is no health regen or convenient waist-high blocks of cement, and it seems to have more in common with games like serious sam rather than "gears of war battlefield duty". In short, consoles gamers would find it difficult, confusing and scary ;)

@2late2die enjoy controlling with up, down, left ,and right or W A S D or a controller some people like xbox live parties so they can talk to their family and friend oh and not to forget about getting bad rep for winning online but really consoles and pc have both got their merits.

Whether it eventually comes to consoles is irrelevant, considering the game was developed with the PC in mind first and foremost. I imagine with various ex-CD Projekt employees at the helm, Hard Reset's development would be similar to that of The Witcher 2; the game will take advantage of the more contemporary hardware at hand while simultaneously meeting expectations about how a PC game should "feel" (no mouse smoothing, wider FOV, etc.) or what an inventory system should be. If there is an eventual console port, it'll be ported down and tuned to run decently on the less powerful hardware; I imagine the controls and GUI would be tweaked for easy gamepad use. The PC gamers get their definitive version of a great game, the console gamers get the opportunity to play an awesome title. Everybody's a winner and happy.

PC's use controllers. They use keyboards. They use whatever the **** you like. You can use group voice chat through any service you want - Skype, Steam, Vent. Even video chat.

PC's are better than consoles. That is true. There is not a single thing that puts consoles ahead of PC's apart from exclusivity. But then given how much bigger the PC market is (insanely giant if you include roms+emulators too) then PC probably wins again. Even the games cost less for PC.

A PC costs more but it's a ****ing PC that can earn you an unlimited amount of money if you use it for work too.

Looking forward to this game hopefully it a solid FPS.

Some of you hope that it will be coming for console. Forget about it. It is PC exclusive game. Developers talked about it before. So don't expect to come to console. PC needs exclusive games which are only for PC. You console kids already have few console exclusive. That's enough. If you want, buy gaming pc. Any pc game is actually a lot better than console garbage if you ask me.

I fell like someone kicked my puppy, all this talk of PC exclusive and they go and make it exclusive to a software console.
