Burnout Crash! collides with XBLA and PSN on September 20
23
During a recent preview session for Criterion's Burnout Crash!, creative director Richard Franke revealed that a launch date and price had finally been set. On September 20, Burnout Crash! will be available for download on Xbox Live Arcade for 800 MS Points ($10) and $9.99 on PSN.
We've got a preview of the game's Kinect Party mode and new Autolog features coming later today, so keep an eye out for that.

This game looks great, but no PS3 version?

Correction: This game does not look great, and there is also a ps3 version.
Now make us a true Burnout sequel with a proper crash mode included!!!

I swear fanboys just keeping hitting reload until they see a post like this so they can downvote it. "Where's the PSN version?" = downvote.

Ok, maybe I am being a nut but I wonder what the deal is with MS getting so many exclusive and timed exclusive download games lately? They have always been throwing money at publishers to get this stuff but it just seems more lately.
I wonder if it has more to do with the amount of money made on XBLA vs PSN and the whole PSN down time.
With Ubisoft saying they make more then double on XBLA vs PSN and they were not worried about the PSN downtime I wonder if it's just published don't trust Sony and don't make much money anyway.
Or it's all in my head.

This seems like a pretty good incentive to go dual platform then, doesn't it?
Also, regardless of what projected sales would have been for Outland (which launched simultaneously on both platforms, but during the outage,) I'm sure they were higher than zero. I doubt Ubisoft was thrilled about losing any money, regardless of what percentage the disparity between platforms.

What are you guys smoking? Just because Joystiq forgets a ps3/psn tag does not make it a 360 exclusive. It's coming to psn on Sept 20th and xbla on Sept 21st. Settle down people.

I love Burnout when it isn't a top down dumb looking piece of poo. Maybe this will be a lot of fun but nothing I have seen has me even slightly interested at this point. I don't even think I will feel compelled to download the trial let alone pay for the full game.

I don't think we should complain. At least Criterion hasn't been shuttered like so many racing-centric studios as of late.

@jtsuth Let's hope it's good but I feel the same as you. Maybe if I hadn't played their crash mode from their older Burnouts I might be excited. But I'm willing to give it a chance as Criterion has always made great games.

I was looking forward to this because I think criterion has done a wonderful job of changing it up to keep this franchise from getting stale but even I gotta say teh videos for this game look sterile and boring

Played this game at Gamescom. Was not impressed at all. Controls were slow. You explode the car and then move it in a direction. Hope it has more to offer than what I have seen.

Seriously, guys? Play this instead, and save yourself the money: http://www.kongregate.com/games/kizigames/roadkill-revenge
I'll just wait for the next true Burnout game.
