When we tipped you in the past about Irrational Games' ongoing series of podcasts, dubbed "Irrational Interviews," we may not have been emphatic enough about becoming an ongoing listener. To date, not a single episode has been less than interesting, and this week's episode with the BioWare doctors goes far beyond that all-too-general adjective.
The trio cover everything from their disparate, non-game industry backgrounds, to the myriad difficulties involved in growing a studio, to the requisite "where is the industry going" conversation (unfortunately, even these folks don't know for sure). And clocking in at around half an hour, you can easily fit it in while your significant other watches another episode of the Jersey Shore.

Ken and Bioware perfect examples of the "if Grandma has a problem with a game mechanic throw it out" approach to modern game design.

Mass Effect 2 was a great game. Bioware managed to improve the game play by quite a bit. The story in Mass Effect was good but the gameplay was meh.

Interesting interview. I'm definitely going to check out the rest of the podcasts.
And to the haters. Here's the thing, DA2 was a mess, but so far it's been the only major blunder. I think that BioWare, over the years and the multitude of awesome games, earned some benefit of the doubt.

Nice leather blazer dogg. It really projects the "I'm a guy that enjoys eating lunch buffets at strip clubs" persona.

Oh my God, I hate it when people say SW:TOR is being developed by Mythic. The game started development in 2005, Mythic was incorporated into Bioware in the beginning of 2010. Bioware recently brought a few PvP developers in recently because, well, Warhammer had good PvP.
Anyway, hopefully I'll watch this soon, looks fascinating. Love how the commenters here naturally go on a rage fest against Bioware even though this video has nothing to do with that. It's kind of ridiculous.
