I loved the movies, but one thing I have learned is that Dinosaurs and games don't mix. Still, I might look into the game a little further. So far, I am less than impressed.

Dinos and games don't mix? Ever played the old SNES Jurassic Park or Dino Crisis. I liked both of those but perhaps you didn't I dunno.

@(Unverified) Pardon me, I couldn't hear you over Dino Crisis 1&2's righteous anger at your comment. Also Primal Rage 1&2 are on their way over, I just called their house phone.

True but those were just the ones I had in my mind right now and I don't remember playing any other dino games.

@(Unverified) PS All the Monster Hunter games and the badass Jurassic Park arcade gun game (and Final Fantasy 1's dino island) just sent me a fax reminding me that they make your assertion invalid.

Besides say Dino Crisis 3 can you toss out some bad games with dinosaurs?

@yomachaser

Not really.
if anything it's just Dinosaurs are Underutilized when it comes to gaming and most media forms in general.

Here we got all these zombies and super heroes running around, while dinosaurs just have to stay extinct until someone wants to use them.

A new Dino Crisis (to make up for 3) would be a step in the right direction to see Dinosaurs pop up more often. But Jurassic Park the game is more than enough to give me my dino fix for now.

@TaintedKane I played the arcade games, 1 or 2 Jurassic Park games on my old SEGA, and Dino Crisis 1. I could never get into any of them.

I dunno man... I loved both of the SNES Jurassic Park games, and that 2.5D Lost World game on PSX was AWESOME... As others have pointed out, Dino Crisis... and TUROK! Well, at least 1 and 2... I liked 3 too actually, and didn't think the gamecube one was as bad as everyone else, but admittedly they were the weak points...

To your credit, I've heard that Nazis vs Dinos game on steam is terrible.

I'm going to throw Chrono Trigger in there as well. 65 Million B.C. was awesome.

Say what you like, but the dinos in the reboot of Turok were awesome.

The game didn't get the ratings it deserved. Was it the best game ever? Of course not, but it was still a blast and the dinos were so much fun to fight. Knife fight with a raptor ftw.

Loved the Dino Crisis games. But they went down hill after 2 imo.

This game looks nice, but nothing to amazing about it. Maybe a rental or a 20 dollar buy down the roa.d

Dinosaurs and games don't mix? What about the "Lost World" rail
arcade game? That was great!

Reminds me of FMV games of yore (90s) Only now the CG FMV is real time!

Seriously, I know they're well known for these kind of games but I just found this laughable and ridiculous.

Dinosaurs are serious business!

This just felt like playing with your JP toy set only with voice acting.

:/

OH MY GOD THIS GAME

LOOKS FREAKING AMAZING!!!

We don't see a lot of dinosaurs games these days, but damn does this look good. Telltale and Jurassic Park are a match made in Heaven.
Can't wait to get my hands on this. Will probably go all out and buy it on PS3 and 360 to get the maximum amount of dinosaur awesomeness for this year.

The Jurassic Park Super Nintendo game was a real gem, a hybrid of 3D shooter on the indoor levels and a Zeldaesque romp on the outdoor ones.

The only problem was it had no save, a huge game that no one human could finish in one sitting with no way to turn it off without having to start all over.

I was living with my girlfriend and her mom for the summer you would not believe how hard it was to explain to her not to turn it off. She only agreed after I promised to pay any difference in the electric bill.

She was sort of a dinosaur in her own way to bring the story full circle.

I agree, I hate when companies use another animal's sound for a sfx for a dragon or dinosaur straight up. Please mix it or tweak it a bit, I've been playing games for years and doing that just destroys the illusion.

I think the T-Rex should have the option of making a trombone sound
or a giant tuba when he decides to roar.

Hello Pirate Bay! I hate to say it but this is one of those games where you simply rent it for the weekend or buy it in the future when it's for $5 on sale. I'm even a Jurassic Park fan.
The sounds of the dinosaurs brings me great memories. They did well on getting the original sounds.

Glad to hear they didn't steal Carnivores 2 sound effects for this trailer, like they did the last one.

Yeah I use to be a big Dino fan when I was a kid. Played Dino Crisis 1 and dominated everything out of number 2. Had a bunch of the Jurassic park games for the sega (my favorite being the Lost World) Oh yeah and Rampage edition haha. Even great times doing split screen on Turok Evolution. Pwned the crap out of Operation Genesis when I had it. Heck I even enjoyed Dino Stalker for the time I played it.

But this now... hmmm this is iffy. Its like, maybe if the gameplay was something other then its 3rd person episodic weirdness. I just, i dunno I guess i was expecting so much more. I will probably be more disappointed if the new Jurassic Park 4 movie is going to bomb :(

I played it a bit at PAX. While it looked great, I'm not sure how I feel about the gameplay (or at least what I played of it) being based entirely around quick time events.
