Uncharted 1 and 2 bundle available September 6

Sony has announced a new game bundle that includes Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Game of the Year Edition, a mess of extra content and DLC for Uncharted 3 -- all for 40 bucks. The company is calling it the Uncharted Greatest Hits DualPack, but we've officially dubbed it the PlayStation 3 Post-Price Cut Starter Pack.

The Starter Pack comes out next Tuesday, giving new PS3 adopters plenty of time to catch up on all things Uncharted before Drake's third adventure is released this November. This is required playing, new PS3 owners, and it will be on the exam.

Easily two of the best games for the PS3. If you don't have them, get them.

Anyone who just picked up a PS3/hasn't played these games yet should check this out. Also, the Resistance pack is great fun too.

I played about half of the first Uncharted and didn't really get it, so I Goozex'd it away. This is exactly the kind of excuse I need to try again...do I dare, Joystiq community?

It is a 3rd person shooter/puzzle/adventure game with AMAZING voice acting and great graphics. Game developer has created a unique and tremendously enjoyable series.

You need to finish each game at least 1 time all the way through, for a PS3 owner these games are a MUST. Also U2 multiplayer experience is super fun.

Yeah, I thought the first one had a great story (and graphics along with it) but there was only one puzzle that took me a while. It was still fun, but in comparison to Uncharted 2 it felt pretty bland. Maybe that's just a testament to how amazing Uncharted 2 was.

I mean it just didn't feel very special to me. I would never say it's a bad game, but I didn't find it as compelling as everyone seemed to be saying. The shoot-outs in particular felt bland and slow to me, and as they got longer throughout the game I kind of lost interest.

It seems almost unanimous that Uncharted 2 is much better than the first, so I'm willing to give that one a try.

Thanks for the advice! I was thinking about buying UC2 by itself, but your comment convinced me to either get both used (on the cheap!) or get this pack.

You need to focus in on headshots, otherwise the seemingly endless waves of enemies become absolutely tedious.

@Electrium no, the UC series is always made out to be a "amazing wtf perfect" game experience, when in reality, it's simply a good game

I did the same exact thing. At least we caught them on sale. Now that I think about it, this same thing happened to me with Gears of War too.

Every PS3 needs these games in it's library.

For all those who were blinded by the awesomeness of that video and scrolled down quickly to avoid having seizure. Comment above me is pretty much what the video embodies.

Richard is correct as this is a good marketing tool for those that just bought a PS3 and just adding that Uncharted 3 voucher is icing to that cake to prepare for another cake that is coming 11-1-11

Every PS3 owner should play these games, UC2 more so.
Take couple days off, stack up food and drink, relax and play through them.

I am only my 4th play through with Uncharted 2, this time on CRUSHING and I am having as much fun as I did first time I played the game.

Wicked Fun.

also buy these games people they're awesome!

even though i played the first 2 and owned them. well since i dont anymore. right now i would throw down 100$ for uncharted 1 2 and 3.

It's insane to think people with PS3s that don't have this game.
Actually that would be most of my friends. Only 2 of them have it because my friends are the CoD stereotypes minus the blatant racism.

Uncharted was an excellent game and the sequel blew it away. U3 has some big footsteps to follow. I envy anyone who gets this pack and plays through for the first time. Enjoy!

i just bought uncharted 1 for 11.99 on amazon and i saw uncharted 2 for 20 bucks so it seems like this bundle is not much of a great deal

I'm a cheap ass, so I'm glad. I just picked up the resistance pack, and now I'll be getting this. Definitely a good idea.

For those PS3 owners on the fence: Uncharted 3 is the game that I'm buying a PS3 all over again for. I replayed the first game recently on a borrowed console and it's still alright, but the sequel is one of the greatest games I've ever played.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll start punctuating your sentences with a gruff "Goddamn".

There's been many complaints of US versions of games getting the uglier covers (Ico, Heavy Rain etc), but that's downright sexy compared to our European version:

What's on your current backlog? We can help advise you.

The uncharted games aren't insanely long, and they're fun to boot, so you just might want to bump them up in your queue (unlike say, Fallout 3 which can be an unending black hole of time).

Is gamestop gonna rip out the voucher for this game too? "I'm sorry but the DLC competes with our points cards" or something dumb like that.
