This video just makes you wanna go and pre-order asap, or is it just me =(. Anyhow, I enjoyed it, and it looks awesome, can't wait to play it on my PC.

I thought the same thing but then I remembered the last time DICE made a shooter...

... Medal of Honor Multiplayer.

I think we all need to be a little careful about heaping praise upon this game before actually playing it after that boring game.

MOH multiplayer did suck, mainly in part to COMPLETE lack of support. I had high hopes for MP after really getting into the awesome campaign (which was sadly short).

I don't think it would be the case with BF3 online. As long as they support it and release updates and fixes relatively quickly, it should be very nice, by what I have seen in the alpha footage. But from previews and trailers this seems to be a project they are going to stick with and make improvements upon in the following months.

I agree it was terrible, but you know that Dice was forced and rushed into that project. Also, it used the previous Engine.

@eat it The way I look at MoH:Multiplayer is...
They didn't give a shit. The probably had a few people from DICE working on that and the rest were still working on BF3. And the lack of support was because they were working on BF3.

It could have been so much better if another studio handled the multiplayer IMO, that way EA just doesn't have DICE for killer MP games.

same engine does not mean same gameplay. look at BFBC2, that's insanely fun. also, a company learns from it's mistakes (except Activision)

Don't worry

"Eat it" defends COD to the end. Call of Duty has bugs when it releases but since it is COD it doesn't count:)

Can't wait to play with this with my buddies on 360 (even though I'd prefer PC or my PS3)!

@Stilkdog At the end of the trailer, they point out to go to Battlefield.com for further details on the preorder bonus. This "Physical Warfare" Pack is only available on Origin (EA's Store) and Gamestop.

Here is the full list of preorder bonuses available: http://www.battlefield.com/battlefield3/1/pre-order-offers

Seeing as I hate to go to Gamestop, Best Buy would be my personal second best choice on preorder bonus.

@Mr Hett That's what I'm hoping for! Bought Medal of Honor on Day 1 (no longer have the game on my PS3, only on PC when I got it for $8) for the intent of playing the beta. I wonder when that is supposed to be...

I pre-ordered the MoH Limited Edition as well, so I should be in the early beta on PS3. Most of the rumors say that it will be in early September. Hopefully next week!

BF3 is supposed to have a showing at TGS in a couple of weeks...I wouldn't be surprised if the beta was made available on PS3 soon after more footage is made public at that time. If I'm not mistaken, it's 9/15 - 9/19. The first couple of days is for business purposes...the next couple are when TGS opens to the public.

Is there any way to get this on PC without Origin? The EULA for Origin is pretty crazy...

"You agree that EA may collect, use, store and transmit technical and related information that identifies your computer (including the Internet Protocol Address), operating system, Application usage (including but not limited to successful installation and/or removal), software, software usage and peripheral hardware, that may be gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates, dynamically served content, product support and other services to you, including online services," the agreement reads. "EA may also use this information combined with personal information for marketing purposes and to improve our products and services. We may also share that data with our third party service providers in a form that does not personally identify you. IF YOU DO NOT WANT EA TO COLLECT, USE, STORE, TRANSMIT OR DISPLAY THE DATA DESCRIBED IN THIS SECTION, PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THE APPLICATION."

@Vcize Nope. Only reason I haven't preordered yet. It looks really good, but Origin kills it. If I bother with it at this point, it will have to be on PS3.

@Vcize

So basically it says that not only can EA track all your hardware/software, but they can track all your application usage as well AND sell it to 3rd parties.

Worse, not only is it auto opt-in, but there's no opt out process at all. The only way to opt out is to not install the application.

In my opinion, MW3 looks like it should be DLC for MW2. Almost nothing has changed. BF3 isn't light years away from BF:BC2, but its made a lot of positive changes, and looks like a totally different game.

My two cents :]

@StrangeObjective It looks like the same game as well, and it's only about a year and a half since BC2.

EA is not exactly the savior of gaming. I wouldn't paint them as such.

Disgusting work on EAs and DICEs part. I am going to cancel my pre-order. Not going to support the use of overpowered weapons as pre order DLC. Atleast Activison do not leave out important things from the game such as weapons.

Now this is how you edit a video.

Take note IW/Sledgehammer. Notice the distinct lack of slow motion? BF3 doesn't need that shit to make itself look good.

Your right. BF always give you a kick ass trailer made from actual gameplay. COD has to pick out the best cinematic explosions from the SP and slow it down while adding dramatic music to make it good.
