This game was easy as hell for me, until i hit Boss Rush 2. I usually just up Hydraulics and Attack and forget about everything else, maybe i should up my defence and mobility.

any tips?

oh and it's a very charming game if you haven't played it, it's worth a playthrough

@Mihen For boss rush 2, i'd say up attack, defend (seriously, you'll need defence) and mobility, hydraulics don't matter too much, in that mode.

We get it. You don't like furries. You gonna end every article about this game with that reminder from here on out?

I think its the new "hip" thing to hate on furries or whatever they call em....ya know similar to people that blindly that hate JRPGS just because everybody else does it.

Hell I didn't even know what it was until earlier this year....I swear people have way too much time on their hands.

Wouldn't be too sure about that, in the slightly altered words of Shakespeare.

Me thinks the author doth protest too much.

....When are you going to stop with the anti-furry comments?

Would you say this if it were a Spyro game? A Crash Bandicoot game? if it were Daxter in that mech? Yoshi? Fox McCloud?

Enough with the crap. Concentrate on the gameplay and art style and stop letting your personal views on a subculture of people influence an article on a god-damn video game.

Regarding the game, it's actually quite nice. The only other game that had "throw things back at enemies.. or even throw the enemies" as the primary gameplay mechanic was Mischief Makers. And that was awesome fun!

@Muskie
Your avatar leads me to think you're being a little defensive
about the "anti-furry"ness.

@pluupy

OPs avatar aside, it is a fair point about games with anthropomorphic characters that otherwise no one would take issue with. I would also submit Sonic the Hedgehog, the Final Fantasy series (more so the later games) almost every MMO that has come out in the last 4 years (has had at least one Antrho race)..... Avatar both the game and the Movie....

If a games Game play/Graphics/Design (both art & level)/optimization/localization suck then those would be perfectly legitimate reasons to hate on it. This game doesn't appear to suffer from those failings but can't say for certain because I have yet to play it.

So this comment isn't related to the game, sorry about that...

It's really weird, I'm seeing all these anti-furry response posts; but I haven't seen an anti-furry comment. So my thinking is, if were going to delete the anti-furry post, maybe we should delete the replies to it as well?

@insaniak They're talking about the comments within the article itself.

@(Unverified) I didn't see any anti-furry stuff in the post either. But since apparently my comment was on topic lets keep going. Are they all kidding about the dog man zoom bit, because that doesn't seem very anti-anything. Most games have the camera so zoomed in that you can't tell you have a character at all.

After some digging I did find out that JC (does he care if I call him JC?) does love bear farts... so... that...

@insaniak No, it's more along the fact that this single writer has done almost every post about Solatorobo, and each one has had a comment like the one above.

http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/24/solatorobo-red-the-hunter-flies-to-north-america-published-by/
"Check out a trailer after the break and try not to focus on the fact that the game stars anthropomorphic animals."

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/25/solatorobo-preview/

But even for people like me who never got around to playing Tail Concerto -- and even for people who avoid anthropomorphic animals -- Solatorobo is a surprisingly engaging game that is fun just to interact with.

Each and every article is written with at least one COMPLETELY unnecessary comment about how the main character is anthropomorphic, or how he does not like them.
The articles are perfectly good without these comments, and I once again implore Mr. Fletcher to stop with the stealth inflammatory remarks, or allow another writer/editor to post about this and similar games.

Yeah, you know, furries -- they ruin the Internet, attaching their sinful immoral behavior to a perfectly innocent thing!

*ignores every other fetish in existence* *also ignores that this game was not made for or by furries*

I don't know about everyone else, but I'll take a cool-looking and original character over the monotony that is most "modern" game protagonists.

I also would have accepted "at least it isn't another FPS or mini game compilation"

This game looks So. Goood.

Gonna cherish this probable money loss from Xseed, as it seems in years to come that japanese games that have a better chance to succeed in NA won't make it here....
