The demo is free, the full game is $5. At least, that's my interpretation.

Thank god Bit.Trip Saga is hitting 3DS next week. Almost makes me think about Game Boy games like this that no one should possibly want.

It's sad, sometimes I'm desperate for something to play and I'll poke around the shop and seriously consider buying games that I would immediately regret purchasing. Thankfully I've held strong and now Star Fox and Bit.Trip are coming. It was getting dicey...

I'm glad we have you to dictate what games I want and what games I clearly should not have any interest in. Bless you, sir, for making me realize that any significant enjoyment I might possibly get out of this game-- being a fan of video game golf, or at least previously having been one before your words enlightened me-- is in fact false, that I am not having fun playing these games, and that I should be shamed publicly, repeatedly, and incessantly.

Your words of guidance shall be unto a beacon to me, lighting my way in the dark places where I must walk. I beseech you, good sir, please impart more of your shining wisd-- GAGH! Dammit, the blood vessels in my brain burst again. The doctors said that would happen if I kept overexerting my sarcasm gland, but damn me, I didn't listen!

Hey, don't get get me wrong, I also have Link's Awakening and Mario Land is a solid download. No shame in owning games like that. I'm talking more so about the games that you flick through in the shop and initially think they look terrible, but then you keep seeing them when you have nothing else to play, and suddenly they start looking better and better, haha.

There's always picking up a few DSiware classics.

...some can even last you forever... like Alphabounce, if you're into breakout games. And Birds & Beans will last you forever if you like simple and odd arcade titles... (then again, aren't most arcade titles odd?)

The 3DS virtual console continues to amaze......oh wait it doesnt.
We've been over this before nintendo you need more than 1 game a week and need to include GBC offerings.

Between the amount of GB and GBC titles there's no excuse for 1 a week.

I'll never understand when people describe the original Gameboy games as being grey or black and white. The damn thing was different shades of GREEN! I never saw greys on my screen.

To be precise:

Color Palette: 2-bit (4 shades of "gray" {light to very dark olive green})

I'm really curious what the selection process for games on the 3ds Virtual Console is. There is someone at Nintendo who is making these decisions and I really want to know why.

I hear you. The sad thing is that I'm sure most of the employees at Nintendo feel the way we do, it's just the people who make all the money and who are running the company into the slaughterhouse atm don't know what they're doing.

I mean, ya know, because the GB version of Golf, and nothing else, is what I'd put on the table to save the 3DS from poor sales and rampant rumors.

Hold on. Last week, a vast majority (I'm assuming) of 3DS owners were given NES Open for free, and now they're selling essentially a scaled down greyscale version? Like, in exchange for money? What?

JUST GIVE US MARIO GOLF YOU DICKHOLES.

The cost of running the eshop is minimal. The cost of making games for it is minimal. The profit for charging 5 bucks for a game from 10 years ago that already paid for itself and doesn't require packaging or production is outlandish.

SO JUST GIVE US THE GOOD GAMES AND QUIT MILKING THE SHOP BY RELEASING LESSER, CRAPPIER VERSIONS FIRST.

He's probably referring to one of the Ambassador games early adopters received, NES Open. While technically, it's a golf game and Mario is in it, it's not actually the Mario Golf I'm sure you're talking about.

Hear hear. I was actually a little disappointed that NES Open Golf was offered as part of the conciliation package and not, y'know, just plain ol' Golf. The launch-title Golf was actually one of the first few games my dad ever bought for the NES, after we'd been given it for Christmas that year. (The other was Popeye, which was another damn good game that I'm sad to say will probably never get a rerelease due to the licensing involved.) Anyway, the GB Golf was far and away a better game, and I'd dare say it's not a bad purchase if you like video game golf.

The overall quality of the "Ware" programs and the eShop in general is laughable. It's like a joke they're telling that they don't realize is a joke.

Even the DSiWare games that people tell me are good are actually awful games. It is best to just avoid the Ware range.

The only good title is also a free PC game,,,

It's all in the tastes, for the most part.
Most titles people recommend me on XBLA I don't even touch anymore - because they're not my style at all.

There are a good number of DSiWare games that are good to great - but there are a LOT that people recommend just because "I'm lacking on games, so this is pretty good if you're starved of them" reason.

Gameboy Golf was an outstanding game. My parents bought me that when I was 9 and it even had me addicted then. Really simple, enjoyable game with some sweet little gameplay hooks.

Can't stand the real game or any modern golf titles. That time of my life has passed but I have to get this one. Damn Nintendo.

I get the feeling Nintendo still doesn't think this "digital doo-dad distribution" thingy will catch on. It's going to be a wait-and-see after the Wii U makes a big splash.

And wi-fi? They are only doing it as a precaution incase wireless play ever gets REALLY popular.

Let's see, on Xbox Live over the last couple months I've bought Bloodrayne Betrayal, Street Fighter III Online, Bastion and From Dust and they're all awesome.

From WiiWare/DSWare... I haven't bought anything in at least a year. C'mon Nintendo, you're killing us here and worst of all, you're killing yourself in the digital marketplace!
