PSA: Xbox Live, Xbox.com currently down [update]

Update: Xbox Live and Xbox.com are back, carry on.

Xbox Live and Xbox.com are currently experiencing some unexplained technical problems.

"Xbox.com is having issues at the moment," Director of Architecture for Xbox Live Operations Eric Neustadter noted on Twitter. "It's being worked on - sorry for the hassle, folks."

We'll update as we learn more and once everything is operational again.

@lawsmar Same here -_-; This is the only day that i can play online and i always get this kind of stuff. If not Xbox than its the developers servers if not them its the internet provider -_-;

PS Not only Microsoft is having problems. some dutch phone networks have problems to. also some government websites in the Netherlands are down. The network at our office is down as it the one at my wife's office... there is so mush going on now its crazy!

Hopefully XBL will be up in short order, otherwise they should rename it Xbox DEAD, amirite?

It [XBL.com] may not go go down, but they fact that I have to delete my cookies and my cache and then restart my machine every 4 days just to display it -- it might as well be down.

I find it kind of pathetic that due to the recent PSN debecal that my mind jumped straight to "ITS BEEN HACKED!!!" (i mean, that started pretty much the same way; with the same reasoning).

But i hope that isn't the case and hope they solve the issue regardless of what it is.

It happens every now and then. It's probably nothing. In fact, I managed to connect no problem after two tries and a network test but my friends kept getting booted off.

It could just be related to the upcoming dashboard update. Somebody probably switched a setting somewhere that they shouldn't have.

Hmmmmm Do not like Unscheduled Unexplained downtime over multiple sites. Makes me cringe like that whole PSN debacle of yesteryear.

Im not sure if its the same but the otherday i couldnt connect to the xbox site, it would keep giving me a time out error.

Well it can't be a hack when there are a few people I know of that are able to log into live. If it was an attack no one whould be able to get on live period.

This is where people should complain as you pay for that and do you think MS is gonna compensate you for your inconvenience of course not as all they care about is making as much money from you as they can!

Just funny how when live goes down people are so calm about it and when the PSN goes down do to a malicious attack people are so quick to judge especially people who don't even have PSN!

It would be funny to see it get hacked and the live people experience it first hand!! Maybe it will take them down a peg or two!!

As I know plenty of friends who have had their CC information stolen from Live!!

So ya'll are NOT as safe as you think and not only that MS does sell your information as I received many coupons and crap and it was right after I signed up for Live! So don't think you're as safe as you want to believe!
