Diabolical Pitch gameplay demon-strated at TGS 2011

We haven't yet gotten our hands on Grasshopper's upcoming Kinect throw-em-up, Diabolical Pitch, but that didn't stop us from grabbing some shaky-cam footage of the first trailer and of someone giving the game a whirl at the developer's pre-TGS shindig.

Yikes. These live-action Kinect commercials are bringing back memories of early 90s Nintendo commercials.

Games looks good though.

I wonder how much the full motion of pitching comes into play. Does the form or velocity of your arm determine strength of the attack? Otherwise I can see this quickly deteriorating into Wii Sports pitching where all you have to do is sit on a couch and flick your wrist.

It's like Field of Dreams, only if Kevin Costner decided to do what any rational person would decide to do when dead people start showing up in their baseball field. Awesome.

uhh...what would a rational person do if ghosts started showing up? call the Ghost Busters? or contact those "ghost hunter" nerds that somehow get their own shows? i dunno, i think if ghosts started showing up in MY baseball field/backyard, i'd start questioning my sanity, because that's just not possible. good movie though.

Beats me. I'd be terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought.

hah, well i guess the next step beyond that is to just throw some ball with 'em.

I'm waiting for somebody to punch someone in the back of the head during co-op mode.
