I sure hope they didn't have to take out any loans to make that one.

Yeah this game looks sharp. Square Enix really does a great job of utilizing hardware to make beautiful games. I'm excited to see what original games they come out with for the Vita and how the HD Final Fantasy X turns out.

Yeah It does look way too FF for me to really think of it as a new IP. I was waiting for a chocobo/moogle cameo that whole video.

The dialogue and music is pretty cheesetastic, but holy HELL that's cool.

Eh, I agree it's obviously cheesy, but I didn't think the dialogue was that bad. (I turned off the translation and missed some parts where she was crying too much to hear easily, but I doubt they would've made it either more or less cheesy. :)

I didn't think it was completely implausible dialogue given how upset she sounded. Okay, she was hamming it up, but doing so pretty well. :)

What got me though was how manipulative it is. :) I mean after you see that, how can you not buy the game? I mean (a) she just desperately begged you to help, and (b) she just fell through a hole in your coffee table! That's totally got to be your own fault, you should have repaired that thing before the whole dimensional vortex problem got anywhere near that level.

Btw how did they get the AR cards out to people, in a magazine or something? That seems to me like probably the limiting factor with releasing the demo in other places (yes I know it's easy to just print them out, but I can't believe Nintendo would be happy with that solution). Apart from the fact that we'll have to wait a year while they translate it...

Looks 'OK', but I'll need more convincing.

Square games just haven't done it for me in a while ~.~

Tho strangely I was really looking forward to Blood of Bahamut..... too bad that was never released in the US.

So are the graphics the style of the girl, or the stupid-ass FF3-remake chibi guys from the beginning?

Hopefully the former, because I cannot stand the latter :|

@FuzzyPierce
Well when the demo showed you the in-game graphics (the bit at the start, and also several brief sequences at the end), that should probably have been a small clue as to what the in-game graphics would look like.

(Or to put it another way: yes it's the chibi style. No doubt there will be more than just the one cutscene where you can look up the AR girl's skirt, though, if that's what is bothering you.)

I'm actually very impressed. What's more is that the Japanese eShop is hosting a demo of this game. A Demo?! Let's hope it's a sign of things to come. :)

can't imagine more demos won't come out on November's supposed e-shop refresh. Monster Hunter 3G demo alone will probably be able to bring down Nintendo servers, though.

Whoa.

Now lets get that title changed to Default Bravery: Flying Faries.... Or something which would make sense to me and me and Enix have some talking to do.

Liking the FFCC type characters btw. Loved that game.

Now, the 3DS is really fighting it out. The unveiling of really awesome 3DS lineups makes it marks back on the map. :) Hopefully, we'll be seeing western releases also, not just Japanese games. :D

I have a question about the AR. I'm imaging that it works as a combination of the AR card and Gyroscope. So the AR card initiates the animation and sets the size. Then the Gyroscope kicks in and allows u to move the 3DS around like Face Raiders.

My question is can you actually yourself around the scene in 3D, for example move closer or farther away or go to the back side of the scene? It seems you would still need the AR card visible to do that. If not this sounds more Vita like.
