Rock Band Weekly: Nirvana 4-pack, 10 pro guitar upgrades

Rock Band "celebrates the twentieth anniversary" of Nirvana's Nevermind album next week by releasing four tracks off ... a different album. Three of the DLC songs are from the band's In Utero album, and the other is "You Know You're Right." Plus: There ten Nirvana pro guitar/bass upgrades.

Completely unrelated to Nirvana, but did Primus' "John the Fisherman" ever get to the Rockband store? I've got a real hankering to play that again but my GH2 disc is shot

But no official or RBN DLC.

The reason for no Nevermind DLC, beyond the upgrades, is because all the tracks on Nevermind are on Rock Band in one form or another. Also their are 11 Pro Guitar/Bass upgrades. The ten already released songs and one of the new ones.

Aww, I was hoping they'd pick Radio Friendly Unit Shifter or Tourette's so I could freak people out at parties.

I was just thinking after last week's Weezer release, "More Weezer is okay, but more Nirvana would be better!"

I love Nirvana, and how fortunate am I that they picked four of my favorites for this pack. Yep, that pretty much settles it... I need to get around to buying Rock Band 3.

If any Nirvana song needs Pro guitar, it's "About A Girl". That's the perfect "douchebag with an acoustic" song!

In other Rock Band DLC news, Alien Ant Farm has released 3 songs: Courage, Movies, and Glow. The remainder of the ANThology album will be released in sets of 3 leading up to the release of their new album.

@Nova Hands I don't encourage buying Movies. Apparently they screwed up the vocal charting and I saw complaints about it being due to no one testing the song. They removed the song and are going to fix it (and hopefully refund whoever bought it).

Is 700msp the right price? Because 4x160 for single songs works out cheaper at 640msp :-/
