Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition hits Europe, Australia this week
35
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition, which launched in North America on July 12, will be available on September 22 and 23 in Australia and Europe, respectively. The bundle will cost £19.99/€29.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360; £14.99/€19.99 on PC.
The pack includes the core game, the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansions, along with making-of Oblivion DVD and game map. There's no mention of the mail-in rebate offered in the North American edition, so we're checking with Bethesda for confirmation.
Update: The PAL edition doesn't feature a steel case, but it does include the "special offer" on Skyrim.

You Europeans have less than 2 months to experience the 500+ hours of content this amazing game offers before Skyrim, another amazing game, comes out.

Oblivion is about 90-200 hours. (90 if you have an actual list of the quests you plan to initiate) If you simply follow the quest placement pattern. Each individual town has it's own quests (ranging from 2-3) and villages have small quests (1-2, mostly collection quests). The guild and daedric quests are pretty obvious. The expansions, knights of the nine and shivering isles follow the same format except Knights of the Nine is shorter and shivering isles adds about another 50-70 hours.
Calculating the hours made me realize I spent over 50 hours just...picking flowers and walking around Cyrodiil listening to the same 26 songs over and over. ...I don't regret it.

@pluupy - That is about right, I spent 300 hours and played all the DLC. However, I could have added more gameplay, I never did all the vampire quests.
Morrowind, that's another story, I spent 500 hours plus, and had a ton of stuff left over I could have done.

Does it include all the mods to stop it from looking like ass?

It looked pretty good for its time but I doubt the console versions will have any mods... they could barely run the core game, let alone texture upgrades :)

I've seen it modded to hell and back and it can look quite good. But I remember when I tried it two years ago, I had to use a lot of mods *just* to stop it looking shocking, the worst part being the distant grass texture. At least it is possible to 'fix' it and anyone who tries it won't be left with something that looks almost broken in places. On PC at least.

I don't think I want to know why you are rating the attractiveness of your mom, even if you're drunk while doing.

I think you are getting your Oblivions confused with your Star Warses.

I dont think this is going to see too well. People want time to play these games, There is no way anyone is finishing this before Skyrim comes out, And after that, itll be useless.
Its just aged so much since its first release, Even after alot of modding and forcing AA and better texture filtering on my PC version. I cant imagine playing this on my console, ever.
Nice for collectors I guess though.

Why would it be useless ??? Just because a new game comes out doesn't make an older game useless. I'm playing Morrowind through to keep me busy before Skyrim comes out and it came out in 2002. Just an FYI but Morrowind is way better than Oblivion could ever hope to be. Thankfully Skyrim will be a combo of Morrowind and Oblivion which will make for one AWESOME RPG

@HardBoiled2009 what really bugs me is that the 10% off coupon requires that you purchased the updated strategy guide with the 5th anniversary edition of oblivion, which of coourse my eb didnt have when i picked up the copy
so that 10% off coupon was rendered useless

dear Bethesda,
I bought ES: Oblivian when it was first released. I also bought and "completed" the expansions. Can I please have a discount voucher?
PS- So, yeah, you probably assume I already have Skyrim bought and paid for (and you'd be right). But it's the thought that counts, right?
Thanks.

Have they corrected the bugs that afflicted the 360's version of Oblivion??

Unless you're really into little collectibles, this 5th Anniversary Ediition really isn't worth it to not only people that have already played, but newcomers to the game, alike.
Its basically $30 for a repackaged GOTY Edition, which runs you around $20, now.
Had they included every piece of DLC released, trophies, fixed at least 90%+ of the bugs, and promised continued patch support for new ones... then I'd be all over this. Otherwise, its a cash-in.

Can I have trophies to go along with this order please?
You know, to make me actually play through it a 5th time instead of playing one of the other 100 AWESOME games I have in line to play also..
