If you declined to pick up the Dreamcast Collection, either because you only wanted one of the included games or you just have a PS3, you'll have access to the HD-ified Space Channel 5 Part 2 and Sega Bass Fishing soon.

Sega just announced that the games will be released simultaneously in North America on PSN October 4, with an Xbox 360 release following the next day -- it's another delay past the "late summer" date, but at least it's a date. Each game will run 800 Points or $9.99 -- which means that, if you want more than one of these, and you have an Xbox 360, you should really check out that collection.

Either way, it's a great time to catch up with all your favorite characters, including Ulala, Space Michael, Pine, and ... a bass, we guess ...

@HardBoiled2009 I already have Power Stone 1 and 2 on PSP doubt they'll release it again. They should really make Power Stone 3 though.

The Dreamcast collection is only 15 now on amazon. I cant see any justification for not buying the physical copy. Unless you hate saving money.

Unless you don't have a 360, or only want one game in the collection.

I'd rather have any game on disc, but apparently the load times on this disc are atrocious compared to the XBLA releases.

My gf was actually playing Space Channel 5 on my still functioning perfectly Dreamcast just a few weeks ago. Really has lost its appeal for me after all these years. I suck at rhythm games.

Ulala is still pixelated beauty though.

why part 2 and not part 1? that is silly, anyway i don't care about these re-releases because:

i have them on the dreamcast and ps2
and i don't support direct downloads.

they could have easily put all the popular dreamcast games on one blu ray disc, instead of charging us in micro transactions instead, it's complete drip feeding, if sega can release a megadrive collection on the ps3 on blu ray without no troubles then why not a compilation for dreamcast games?

Dreamcast's architecture is a hell of a lot more complicated than Mega Drive's. Getting each game to run perfectly would require a lot more fine tuning than just wrapping them in an emulator. The Dreamcast collection games released were ported to PS3/360/PC, and are running natively on the hardware. That, and the fact that Dreamcast games are a lot larger than Mega Drive games. I'd imagine you could fit the entirety of the Mega Drive Ultimate Collection could have probably fit on a single Dreamcast GD-ROM.

$5 each would be a better price.

Bought the disc a while back for $8. Sonic Adventure is just horrible. Haven't tried these two though.

Why, Sega? We already have those. Why is it so hard for you to just give us what we want? We want Shenmue, Daytona USA, Sonic Adventure 2, Zombie Revenge, Jet Grind Radio, Skies of Arcadia, Outtrigger, Fighting Vipers 2, Confidential Mission, House of the Dead 2, Flag to Flag, Samba De Amigo, etc.

All those games are on sale this weekend on Steam for 2 bucks each.
