That would be funny if the winning T-shirt design was the joystiq logo + ascii dolphin.

It felt good to get in the top 6 but when I saw this shirt design, while sifting through them when it was the original 118, I immediately thought: "damn". I'm not surprised. Congratulations Josh!

I'm pretty sure I've seen the sword hilt idea somewhere else before, but I just can't point out where.

Nice, it was my favorite from the finalists. The design doesn't really represent Joystiq, but it's pretty bad-ass.

For a logo Im not sure its the best representation of Joystiq, but I love the design for a shirt. I think Ill be picking one up for myself.

Just shut up. Didn't your mom ever teach you if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all?

I dig the design, and I can pretty much guarantee it's about a billion times better than anything the Negative Nellys here could ever hope to create.

Congrats, Josh.

Unfortunately, I don't want a shirt with this on it.

I enjoyed the design when I realized it was a sword and not a spine. Ha. But I wouldn't wear it, either. I think the oval ruins it for me.

It could also use a little bit of a slant to emphasize that it is Joystiq and not Bitshol, as someone else said

That's a good point about the oval. How that gets placed on the shirt will definitely matter. But I love the design, I voted for it, and I'm buying it even if the oval is placed in an armpit.

Cool illustration, just wonder how it will actually look placed on a t-shirt, it being this oval and all.

This was my third choice out of the finalists just for how bad ass it looked, but I still feel it doesn't represent the site well enough.

Bad assery is all you need apparently

Personally I don't like the design for a shirt at all. I understand you are never going to make everyone happy but I honestly don't see anyone wanting to wear it. Just my 2 cents.

I still say this one is far and away the best design:

See, I think that one is too complicated for a shirt. Like you said, can't please everybody.

@Agies I've said this a couple times in the comments, but it adhered to the 4 color rule. CMYK process print on white = 4 colors. But my knockoff characters might have been too much. Either way, I'll be shopping this design around elsewhere now :)

I'm going to make an effort to get this printed on a t-shirt, in some way. Even if Joystiq doesn't officially endorse it.

The design is great but that's not the type of thing I would get on a shirt, personally. I love graphic t-shirts but I like them a bit more subdued. :D

I already ordered an iPhone case & hoodie with your design from cafe press. I actually have some logo work I need done for our real estate office and perhaps you could assist with it? If you are on PSN my id is johnnynumber5 or I can make a quick dummy email and correspond that way initially. Big fan of your style. The logo is actually simple but I don't have the chops to do it myself though I do have some mock ups.

@Rocket Raccoon It's cool man, I know it's not a design for everyone. I actually plan on tweaking it a bit more and one of the things I'm going to do is desaturate the colors a bit.
