Drake advantage of a great deal on a PS3 Uncharted 3 bundle

To enjoy Uncharted 3, you need a highly developed sense of adventure, the ability to spot unorthodox paths through a chaotic landscape, the patience to stay cool during protracted firefights, and a PlayStation 3.

For those first three, you're on your own, but Sony has a plan to help with the last one: a new Uncharted 3 hardware bundle, including a 320GB system, a copy of the game, and -- why not -- a month of PlayStation Plus access. Despite appearing in the picture, there's no mention of an included PS3 vertical stand.

The bundle will sell for $299.99, the same price as a 320GB system by itself. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is out on November 1.

That blue box would lead one to believe there would be a blue PS3 in it.....smh...Sony is SUCH a tease....

I'm pretty sure my black PS3 came in a white box. Just sayin'.

They should've kicked off the launch of the white ps3 stateside with this bundle. It'd sell like hotcakes.

I also wish Sony would bring the Splash Blue PS3 to the US. Heck, Europe is getting white PS3 systems later this year...since when was Europe more special than the US...? First the they get the Vanquish Collector's Edition and Sonic Generations Collector's Edition and now white PS3s...

At least the the plain ol' black slim PS3s still look nice..

if you are still using a phat PS3 then please get a new one, especially if it starts getting loud. They will eventually YLOD with all the heat. The slim PS3 is better and makes almost no noise

Pretty pointless for a newcomer to the PS3 scene, chances are you don't really want to start of with UC3 before having had played its prequels.

They should either include UC + UC2 (as digital downloads perhaps) or give the system some unique artwork (the Japanese Uncharted sixaxis springs to mind).

The price for what you get makes it worth it.

I kind of agree. Include the Uncharted Dual Pack + Uncharted 3 for $329 - 350, and it would be the best console deal in gaming.

Yeah, I have to agree. Maybe their thought process is that it will encourage people to pick up since it IS actually a good deal and they will go find cheap deals on the previous 2 titles, sending some more money Sony's direction. And the player will have already dedicated themselves to spending 3 games worth amount of time on Sony's console. I don't know, seems somewhat narrow but what it DOES do is open up the option for retailers to create their own Uncharted bundles. That's what I'll be looking out for come November.

I plan on spending the part of October before Batman exists replaying the first 2 games. I tried this before MGS4 came out, but luckily, the Uncharteds are mercifully short compared to the MGSs.

I might look into this.

This is a good bundle. I'll most likely get it or wait until black friday to see if there is a better deal for it.

I still think this was a good chance for Sony to do a limited edition console for North America. We haven't had one since the gun metal gray mgs4. I'm pretty sure a limited edition would spur some sales like they do in Japan.

Cue my usual disappointment that it isn't a custom artwork console....

I'm looking to replace my 60GB (almost 4yrs old + never really played PS2 games on it except the P3 & P4), this is really temping. Maybe I'll wait for a white PS3? Wishful thinking I guess....

I find it pretty weak that Sony doesn't include anything special with the bundle beyond a regular 320gb system and the game (no special DLC, console/controller artwork, etc.).

Then again, I did buy the original Uncharted PS3 bundle, but only after the retail price had dropped $200. Maybe I'll do that again here if a nicer slim model doesn't come along first.

Really. I thought to play Uncharted you needed endless patience for having your hand held through incredibly simple puzzles interspersed with balls-numbing repetitive chest-high-wall shooting gameplay.

That is a good deal, but I would know what to do with a 3rd ps3.
