A Game of Thrones: Genesis is set to drop Sept. 29, but first Cyanide Studio and Focus Home Interactive want you to watch a massive, half-naked blacksmith pound a hot sword and stroke The Reach in the above launch trailer. It also has dragons, if you even need that after the previous description.

I bet it's no better than the Tron or Iron Man game...
AND IT'S PEGI 12!!!!!!!!!!! Are you ufcking kidding me? Have they not seen the show? Do they think the show would be as popular if it were on SyFy instead of HBO?

It's based on the books, not the show. Although your implication that it exists thanks to the show is probably fairly accurate, though screens etc were shown long before the show premiered.

Yea but they knew the show was going to be a huge hit.
I mean most games made after movies are out directly following the movie, Tron and Thor come to mind. They were out like a month or 2 after the movie.
Which means they were in development while the movie was. So to say there were screens out before the show just implies they were developing while the show was filming.
Either way, my other comment still stands, looks like it will be poop.

That trailer didn't do anything for me. I haven't heard much about this game but right now it looks like a 5 or 6 out of 10.

Yet another game added to the list of games I wish would be good, but will probably end up sucking.

So if they handle this like they did blood bowl, expect to pay for a beta and then have to rebuy the game when they release it in an almost finished state.
i.e: Blood Bowl (12 of 24 teams), Blood Bowl Dark elves edition(13 of 24 teams) and then Blood Bowl Legendary(21 of 24 teams).
I actually enjoy the cyanide blood bowl game despite how mediocre a job they did. I expect this game to be another cash grab and it to will be dropped for the next cash grab.

Uhh.... At least from the trailer, this looks like an RTS. GoT as an RTS? No way. Just... ugh... no way.

And at first sight, a resounding meh swept across the land leaving all in its wake with immediate and long lasting feelings of apathy.

Dear developpers. The Wall is made of ice, not stone. Please read your source material. Sincerely, a Song of Ice and Firen nerd.
Aside from that, I'm not gonna judge the game before we have any real info on it. It does look pretty bad, but those seem to be RTS graphics, so it's not so terrible. We'll see.

I'm very excited about this game. I really hope they had enough time and feeling to create a good atmosphere and gameplay. I'm afraid it's just another game "to earn easy money as long as everyone's crazy about the Game of Thrones". Just like they did with Harry Potter, Avatar and other successful productions. The books and movies were great but the games were cheap and stupid.
anyway, I think I'm going to do exactly what they expect us to - I'll buy it as soon as it's possible. I'm very glad the game is available on Steam because I can use my Paysafecard because I don't use my credit card online. I feel my data is safer with prepaid cards.
