2 days this year with all 1's. 11-1-11 and 11-11-11, although the latter is the day my life as a human ends and my life as a Dragonborn begins.

I hope this is going to be good, I am taking a chance on a pre-order. This developer made the great PS2 game Champions of Norrath so I am hopeful.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. This studio should put out a quality title.

I actually tried this out at SXSW and found it to be fairly fun. It's looked good and handled good for what was obviously an alpha version of the game. There are some satisfying skill tree progression, and plenty of Loot with unique appearances and effects. It definitely had that Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath feel to it, dropped into 3rd person mode.

For some reason I've been overlooking this. Since it's developed by Snowblind, and especially since it's not being published by EA, the multiplayer achievement killer, I'm stoked.

Why would an Elf A Dwarf and a Man be traveling together?

All they need to defeat evil is the power of love. According to an ancient ballad the power of love is a curious thing. It might make one man weep whilst making another man sing. It can change a hawk into a little white dove. It's tougher than diamonds. That's the power of love.

What business does a man, an elf, and a dwarf have on my video game shelf?

The last two years of PAX, this game was overwhelmingly... lame. It butchers the lore in spots and the combat feels clunky. I think it's gonna bomb, but I hope otherwise since there hasn't been a LOTR game I didnt like. (Never played the handheld ones though.)

Three rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie.

I wonder if they realized they were setting their game for release a few days before Skyrim. While this looks pretty cool, and i will play it, I'm not going near it until it's on sale. I don't see myself buying any more games this year once Skyrim comes out.
I do hope it finds success, and if not, I'll be able to pick this up for around $15 in a few months.

It's Snowblind Studios, so it's day one.
I'll gladly take this over Skyrim, if I have to choose at all.

@KungFuChaosNinja I'm with you! The only question that remains is whether to get this on PC or PS3...
