Capcom developing social games for Android, Smurfs' Village hits 15M downloads
11
Capcom has made so much smurfing money off Smurfs' Village for iOS that its Smurfville simulator will also become available on September 28 for Android. The publisher announced that the app has reached 15 million downloads, making it the top-grossing title on Apple's App Store in 69 countries.
Smurfs' Village is the first Capcom social game, under its Beeline brand, to make the move to Android. The publisher is "committed" to developing more social games that will be available on both the iOS and Android platform going forward. Mo' smurfin' social games, mo' money.

It's a good thing I wasn't in the room when this game was pitched. "Farmville clone with smurfs? GTFO. This is Capcom. GTFO."

So how long until we get Ultimate Smurfs' Village? With 3 additional smurf crops and online functionality that should've been included in the original Smurfs' Village?

I wish everyone would ease up on Ultimate MvC3. I get that some people are annoyed more characters weren't on the original disc, but with the sheer amount of updates, this game is easily worth the money for fighting game fans. If you don't think it's worth the money, don't buy it! It's not like Capcom is stealing from you.

It amazes me every time I see this game near (or even at) the top of the Top Grossing games in the App Store. Guess people really like to spend money on their smurf crops.

I think I heard somewhere it makes a ton of money off really young kids, so it kind've makes sense.

I would ask if this is a joke post, but being as the world has obviously gone insane, I'll just assume it's not...
