please....the game was supposed to be a 3ds launch. you act like we're getting something new here. same game ive beat at least 8 times for free. i was willing to pay when no other games were around. with mario, kart, and other first party games on the way....why would this game even matter?

So you'd rather have an inferior game quicker, than a polished game later? Remember 3DS games can't rely on the crutch of day-one patches.

Full Disclosure: I don't own a 3DS and think it's a silly platform.
I look at those screen shots and I think it loses a LOT of charm of the original game by not being awesome pixel graphics. I am replaying Cave Story on my DSi XL and am loving it. I had already played the game many moons ago when it was a new thing on the PC (and free!). Cave Story is great and I am glad for the success. However, I am not that old yet, but dammit, leave games like this as intended!

I have to be honest. Im not liking the visuals at all.
One of the greatest charms of the original game was its 8-Bit visuals.
I feel like this remake is throwing away its identity.
