I'm starting to wonder if the best thing about this game is going to be the original announcement trailer.

@AnimeGirl16

Nonsense. You believe it needs to be a $60 retail game to be high quality? That's sad.

Some of the best games I have played that past few years have been XBLA and PSN titles.

Probably because it has been in development hell for years and it looked like it was originally intended to be a full retail release.

Wait what? This long of a development time for an xbla game? I was expecting a full fledged release based on first impressions.

Seems that it was canceled for ages, and then somewhat recently revived. Simple enough, I suppose...

@xDoorakx Probably more profitable to cut back on the development and just make it a downloadable game instead of pump the amount of testers, time, developers, and marketing it would take to make this new IP profitable.

Ugh. Looks like it'll be a shell of what it was supposed to be originally. They're probably doing this just to throw us a bone but I highly doubt we'll get what it was intended to be.

Saw the trailer on IGN. Looked pretty cool. Seemed like "The Road" and "I am Legend". 3rd person gameplay. Some platforming, some combat. Story obviously a big focus.

I wouldn't have thought it was a downloadable title just by seeing the trailer, though, for it coming out in a couple months, there is nothing that just wowed me about the graphics or combat.

But it's hard to say from just a trailer. I'm interested to see more. But I'm leaning towards a buy for the environment. Very gritty.

Looks like the game barely making out alive as an XBLA/PSN title. There's nothing wrong with downloadable titles, but they have their limitations, especially when you were expecting a retail release for the game.

It seems like you would have a really hard time coming across a bow & arrow in the city. I hope they make it realistic, like you find one in a natural history museum or something.

When I first heard of this I was hoping it was something along the lines of the Zettai Zetsumei Toshi series (Disaster Report or Raw Danger here in NA) because those games are amazing for budget titles.

Hearing that one of your main "enemies" will be the elements makes me even more interested. I won't get my hopes up, though.

It's disappointing to see that after the initial teaser you wind up fighting people and killing stuff. A Natural disaster survival game would have been good enough in my eyes but I guess they didn't want to take that risk and had to throw in combat ...

I've lost interest.

I really like Ubisoft lately, they seem to be trying out lots of new types of game like with 'From Dust' and now 'I Am Alive' and 'Rayman Origins'. :)

For $15 i'll get it for sure, however if it's $20 I refuse to buy it off principle alone. I don't like that companies feel $20 dollars is going to be the new price point for downloadable titles such as, Payday the Heist, Resident Evil 4, and Code Veronica just to name a few.
