Idiot! There is no real difference between PSN and Xbox Live when it comes to all of the little asshole kids (such as yourself) that run their mouths UNNECESSARILY.

Get your facts straight and stop being such a little asshole!

Life lesson - if you're going to be an example of GIFT at least make sure that the dude isn't someone who knows where you live.

What the kid gets for camping in his house. If he'd been moving around, Batman, er I mean Bradford, would never have caught him.

kids need to realize there are very real consequences to their actions. .. you want to act like a little bitch online, you're going to be treated like a little bitch...

Well I'm glad to see we're all being mature enough to avoid the usual negative social stigma that gamers get landed with.
I'm just glad to see that most of the comments continue to shed such positive light on ourselves.

I swear you can't even tell when the irony is intentional around here.

A 13-year old teen playing a 'M' rated game, superb parenting mom and dad.

Mark Bradford, if you ever read this destroy the kid's game console next time. It scares them but does so with less jail time.

Interesting - a friend of mine had this article linked in a blog post. That link stopped working and she can't link to it now. Why in the world would that be, because that blog post questions this one?

This is why you don't do shit like this on the internet. The parents should've been keeping tabs on how the kid plays in the first place before it escalates to this point.

@Hoops It's not like he tracked down some anonymous kid on the other side of the country.

From the original article:
"...Bradford went to a nearby house where the boy was playing..."
"Bradford is thought to be a loosely-connected friend of the boy's family."

I really don't like how after people write articles or posts that cause controversy the poster can just play it off as a joke. However, this post doesn't feel like that for me. Where it became a joke or satire was when

"We hope shithead kids tell stories in hushed whispers about Mark Bradford. "No, no, he came for my friend Danny! He teabagged him like 40 times and like 30 minutes later, an eight-foot-tall guy in a trench coat shows up and made him eat 40 literal tea bags ... at gunpoint. It's true!"

This doesn't feel like someone would write this with a straight face.

Personally this feels like a bully story where the bully got what he deserved. I don't see the point of using satire in this article at all.

Or you know...you can mute or block, just like what I do with all the assholes, which basically comprises of 80% of all gamers with mics.

Hilarious article well done. How long before the mother sues activision for almost getting her son killed? Couple of days tops

...why would she sue Activision? If she's going to sue Activision, she should sue herself for even allowing her son to play the game unsupervised.

I don't think this guy should've choked out a kid but I can completely understand the guys anger. I'm sorry but these kids act like complete jerks and do it knowing that there is no reprecussions for there actions and it's becoming more and more the norm. I personally would've choked this kids parents for bringing up such a douche bag because I doubt all this kid did was kill the guy there has to be more to it.

I've seen other stories on other sites where kids make videos bragging about ruining peoples enjoyment so it's no wonder that people respond like this. I'm actually surprised that it doesn't happen more often.

As predicted, joystiq snarks it's readers and decides to make everyone but them look like the idiots, when it is clearly Joystiq's fault. It would have taken the writer no more than 10 seconds to write the edit at the bottom before submitting the article.

But instead it deliberately left out the edit to ruffle peoples feathers and get hits on articles. Kotaku are guilty of this on a daily basis (which is why it isn't in my bookmarks any more) but i thought maybe Joystiq was above that sort of thing. Clearly not.

Yes, of course it was satire, pretty damn obvious. But read some of the comments left here. People throwing their fists in the air, AGREEING with actions of the attackers. How about telling some of your readers to calm down instead of jabbing at the people who called out this article on it's bullshit.

To all those praising the benefits of muting the annoying bastitches, I was not aware that mute prevents them from finding what lobby you move to , joining the game and repeatedly killing you in silence.
To hell with all the naysayers. If the kids are mature enough to play online without supervision they are old enough to deal with the trouble they bring upon themselves. I vote for the public beating of more of them and put it on youtube.
