so you're not gonna tell anyone what the game is about unless they play it? the best sell is that it won't waste that much of your day, most people won't like it and at no point do you even say what the player actually does? Not much of a "pitch" is it?

Tried out the game, honestly I was expecting something more after reading the interview. Maybe I'm missing something, but it just seems to be a small collection of black& white photos. The photos show a desk and lets you look at the photos and through the drawers, painting a picture of somebody who is possibly a soldier and is likely going through some issues with PTSD, as evidenced by a grocery list dominated b wine and some pills in the middle drawer. It stands on it's own as a nice little piece of art, but I can't believe this took more than 5 months to create.

I went to download this mystery game by following the link in the article above, then the download link on the site. My firewall wouldn't let me:

Gateway Anti-Virus Alert
This request is blocked by the SonicWALL Gateway Anti-Virus Service. Name: Virdic.A (Trojan)

...not exactly the kind of thing I expected. I know it's probably a false positive, but still...

"Indie developers are the starving artists of the video-game world, often brilliant and innovative, but also misunderstood, underfunded "

Well, sure, ideally. But they're also quite frequently pretentious people who have their smallest supposed accomplishments, no matter how trite or trivial, exaggerated by willing accomplices in game media who overestimate their importance (perhaps because they imagine if they point out 'art' games and aspirations it makes them look deeper)?

So far, Ms. Conditt, you're not standing out from the pack of Joystiq writers in a good way.

I gave it a shot and wanted to like it, I really did. But what was the point? Like Laxfly said above me, just a collection of pictures.
