Vicarious Visions has three unannounced projects, including one for Wii U

Longtime Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, and now Skylanders developer Vicarious Visions has three new projects in the works, according to a report from GameSpot. Reportedly, an associate producer's LinkedIn page specifies something codenamed "Project Nova" for Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U, the PS3/Xbox 360 "Project Atlantis," and "Project Phoenix," for Xbox 360, PS3, and regular-style Wii.

Of course, no other information was given about these projects -- except that they prove that VV owner Activision is already integrating Wii U into its multiplatform development. Not only would "Project Phoenix" be the first Wii U game from VV, by the way, these would also be the second, third, and fourth PS3/Xbox 360 games from the studio. It's only made Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for those platforms.

Hmm... Ok then.

Well.....if its multiplatform, that means it probably wont have much in the way of WiiU specific features. Hmmmm....also its kind of sad that we are hearing about 3rd party projects for WiiU beofre any first party projects, other than rumors that is.

I think that's kind of been Nintendo's hopes with Wii U if I'm not mistaken. Pretty much 3 generations straight with a lack of quality 3rd party development will do that to a company.

Can we do our best to forget this abomination of a 'console' was ever mentioned? By the time this comes out, we'll probably be seeing Xbox 3 and Playstation 4 which will be vastly more powerful, and...OH YEAH... WON'T HAVE A GIANT ASS SCREEN IN THE CONTROLLER.

I love how Nintendo wants to "target a hardcore audience" with this stupid piece of crap. Yeah, like any kid is going to want to play Call of Duty or Mass Effect 2 on a freaking WiiU. Great marketing strategy Nintendo.

@MW49350 You do not what the next xbox and the ps4 will be like (I have a felling they will use motion controls in some way) and also you think 'hardcore' is call of duty. Well then you go and be 'hardcore' with cod while I'm 'hardcore' with an Italian guy who save princes and fixes drains and has parties. BTW I have a xbox and a wii wait a year or so after both are out and see which has the best games is what I'm going to do.

I think the key word in his comment is "kid". This might give us a little more insight into his thought processes.

@MW49350 there's more to gaming than call of duty and "hardcore" doesn't always have to mean guns.

Sadly, Vicarious Visions did the better versions of Guitar Hero. They had some neat ideas for Wii/DS compatible play. Too bad people were burned out on GH by then.
